Whats your favorite Disney Family Moment? I have two one would be in Xmas 2003 when we were their for Xmas we had never spent an Xmas without my grandpa so this was our first time without him on Xmas well we were sitting outside our resort on Xmas eve waiting for a bus to MK and my mom decided to get a card for my Grandpa and we sat outside the resort as she write the card/letter a bus pulls up and all of a sudden my Grandpa had gotten off the bus and ran over and hugged him so hard it was basiclly a bear hug. I will never forget that because of my Grandpa being there with me on Xmas.

The other would be in 2004 yet again we were in WDW for Xmas and my Grandpa had flown down, anyway we ate at Germany for dinner afterwards my Grandpa was tired and my bro wasnt feeling well so they both went back to the hotel. It was just my mom, dad, and me we found a place to watch Illuminations and we watched and I still remember the ground shaking the fireworks were exploding so low and powerful. It was so cool with just my mom and dad that is another great moment I will never forget.

Last year, while planning for our first trip to WDW, I read these boards constantly. I had read several posts about how Wishes made people cry. I'm thinking, "What a bunch of saps!" while shaking my head at how silly some people can be. Flashforward to our trip: second night at MK, we are hurrying across the park to exit before Wishes begins so we could beat the rush to the monorail. It's my mom, dad, dh, me, and our five children. Just as we rush through in front of the castle, the lights go out and the people close in and we are trapped. The show begins. I'm looking around at my precious family, at Disney, under a truly magical fireworks show, after a wonderful day at the parks and the tears begin to roll down my cheeks. I was truly overcome by the emotion of the moment.

I think my favorite moment is seeing my kids react to CInderella's Castle for the first tiem. DD was 4 and DS almost 2. We arrived intime to check in and get to MK for Spectromagic and Wishes. It was getting dark and the castle was lit. DD just stared open mouthed and squealed with delight when it changed colors. DS yelled "I see Lella's castle" and kicked his little feet in the stroller. I knew we were going to have a great trip!

We have been putting off going to Disney for almost 25 years, so when we finally made it there in June, there were many things that were special to us. BUT, there was one moment when it made it all worthwhile for all of us. Jody was having her picture taken with several characters at EPCOT, but her favorite character is Mary Poppins, by far! When Jody walked up to Mary Poppins, being near the end of the group of characters, we all got ready with cameras because we knew this would be a special moment. She literally started crying tears of joy and we all got it on film. That moment made the trip memorable. Oh, by the way, Jody is my wife of 30 years.
