Favorite DD hotel???

Okay... let's hear from everybody!!!!! What is your favorite DD hotel and why?

We stayed last yr at a hotel in DD for one night. It is near the Steak and shake, like right next door. I think it is next to the Sheraton. Country Inn and Suites. This was very nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly. The price was 79.00 for the night with free continental breakfast.

We have only stayed at Grosvenor so can only comment on that property. We really enjoyed it. The room was much larger with more amenities than a Disney moderate, at a much lower price. And, of all the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd. it'sthe closest walk to DD - a major plus for us! After a day in the parks, we just walked across the street (literally!) to DD. I can't comment on the bus service as we always rent a car.

After multiple on-site stays since 1995, we're going to give the Downtown Disney hotels a try next week. We're staying one night at the Best Western (Priceline @ $38) and three nights at the Hilton (Priceline @ $60). I'll post my impressions when I return.
