Have to (get to) leave WDW a day early because my daughter got a callback audition in NYC. (I can’t say what, we’re just crossing fingers!!)

I’ve got everything figured out except how to get from LaGuardia to our hotel near Times Square/Penn Station. Haven’t been to NYC since I was a teenager!
What’s your favorite car service or other transportation idea for two Midwestern women on their first trip, with lots of luggage because you know, wardrobe options, makeup and hair products.

Greetings Pixieflip!
First, congratulations to your daughter! So exciting!
Now, travel options! My favorite car service is UBER! If you have the app, it’s pretty straightforward!
The other is SuperShuttle. You can make a reservation with SuperShuttle to be picked up right after you retrieve your luggage! Click on the link for more details! https://www.supershuttle.com/locations/newyorkcity-jfk-lga/
Safe travels my dearest! :car:

Based on the amt of luggage you are carrying Uber/Lyft is probably your best option but don’t get sticker shock. Surge pricing, the pandemic (less drivers) and the sudden removal of corporate subsidies has raised prices mightily.

We travel lighter so the subway plus M60 is used at least one way. Safe, inexpensive ( under $6.00 p/p) and on time. Same for the Q70 plus subway.

Any Midtown staying tourists often opt for the shuttles.

Have fun out there.

Lots of options (Uber, Lyft etc.) There are also tons of good car service companies if you want to treat yourself. I'm sure a Google search will give you lots with high reviews. I spent 5 years booking cars for celebrities as the transportation coordinator for a company that ran pop culture conventions across NA. Aside from LA, NY was the city where I booked the most cars (followed by Atlanta). EmpireCLS was always a solid option. Between NY and LA I probably booked 300+ reservations with them. The only issues I ever had was if the reservation agent typed in the date or time wrong, but that's easy to catch when they email it to you. Their service was very good though. On time, professional drivers, clean cars. Never a hiccup with the service.

But one company that I used infrequently (because it is definitely more expensive) but that I was extremely impressed by their service was Ready to Roll. Top notch service every time I used them. And I started using them because one of my A list celebrities insisted on us using them for his transfers because he had a favorite driver there. I probably only used them 6-7 times but was super impressed.

Super Shuttle went out of business in 2019. Apparently it came back, but I don't know when. OP, you might want to get reviews from after its reopening. I don't know if PP has used it since it reopened.

Yeah, I know they stopped service for the Disneyland area. Thanks!

Thank you! I’ve used Uber a lot, I just wondered if NYC had something specific or better. Good to know! ✨

Thank you for these ideas! I appreciate it!!

Thank you for all the replies and great ideas! I feel more confident about this now! ✨✨

Native New Yorker here who flies in and out of LGA all the time. There are many, many reputable car service companies in town. EmpireCLS is probably your best bet.
