I read through the sticky posts and I'm still not sure if I'm allowed to ask this - so, moderator, please delete if needed!

I'm taking my daughter on her first Disney trip in November - she will have just turned two! And even though she has virtually no idea about princesses or characters, I'm dying to get her some super cute themed outfits for the trip! Preferably boutique/etsy type dresses, though comfortable and practical too!

Does anyone have any favorite, tried and true retailers?

We have ordered some very cute and comfy pillowcase dresses from Valentina's Place on Etsy. We also ordered a really cute mermaid style tutu dress for DDs mermaid makeover from SoTotallyPrincess on Etsy.

There is a group on Facebook for used custom Disney clothes if you are interested in that. Search Disney Boutique Custom Resell. You can find some great deals on like new outfits.

My absolute favorite . . .

Bought ds (then 2) two dresses for our last Disney trip from this seller, one of which was a custom Mary Poppins dress for which words could never do justice - SO gorgeous! They are beautifully made, cotton - so they're cool and comfortable, and easily washable - so you'll continue to get use out of them, for dress up or otherwise, when you get home. I couldn't recommend more highly!

OHHH- Thanks so much, aidansmom! That is EXACTLY what I was looking for! I had been searching Etsy, but some of the dresses I found were a bit more than I wanted to spend. These dresses look wonderful and the price point is awesome! Totally plan on keeping them all for dress up too :) Do you happen to have a pic of the Mary Poppins dress? I kind of wanted my dd to be her for Halloween, but was having trouble finding something that didn't look itchy.

I found a lady who will custom make dresses, she is on Etsy and and on Facebook. She likes to do Disney bounding type of outfits for little ones.
She's under CT Handmade Creations for Facebook, and cthandmadecreations for Etsy. She also alters t-shirts for us ladies so they are a bit more feminine and fun. Love her.

Oh my goodness, loving all of these suggestions! We will be taking a trip to Disney in February next year when DD will be around 6 months old, and some of these dresses will be just PERFECT!

Thanks for all of the replies! I think I've found a few dresses I like - so excited to dress up my dd! Now, comfy shoes that go with princess dresses...hmm...that's even tougher! :)

I love this dress!!

Okay I'm going out on a limb with another alternative, but Marshalls and TJ Maxx around Halloween (sometimes before) have INCREDIBLE dresses super inexpensive. I was all set to order super pricey ones and didn't need to. The mermaid dress, rapunzel, and cinderella with fully lined cape are extremely well made, were between $20-30!, and when my kiddo walked out of the dressing rooms at BBB and pirates league actually made people gasp. I wish I had it on video. They were also very comfortable and not itchy for a kid who has mild SPD and can't handle a clothing tag. We are quaketoys on instagram and you can see some of our dresses there from our last to WDW trips.

We're going to be buying from there again if any of these have gotten too small, because they're that awesome. I was constantly stopped in the parks and asked if it was made for her, if I made them for her (hahaha I can't sew!), and where they were purchased. Both at BBB and PL they thought I'd bought deluxe gowns in the gift shops for hundreds of dollars. I knew they were gorgeous, but didn't expect that reaction.

The Cindy one and Rapunzel were a bit warmer (long sleeved and velvet) but we had a couple of cold rainy days in November and the Cindy one on the coldest day at BBB with the lined faux fur trimmed cape and hood was perfection.

Kiddo often insisted on wearing singing anna and elsa dresses when not going to BBB or PL. We had a couple of very hot days too (ah Florida!) and these were her choice.

We LOVE Chasing Fireflies online. Their dresses are nicer and higher quality, but they aren't really casual.

DD has done two Disney trips in See Kai Run shoes and we love them. They have lots of dressier mary janes that are cute and comfy. Our current favorite is the Kalia but there are many others; just search See Kai Run mary jane on Amazon and you'll see a bunch. Other good options would be Livie & Luca, Pediped, and Stride Rite's Medallion line.
