Playing devils advocate here. since when is it wrong or illegal to take photos of children that you do not know? I unerstand to a point why it would be weird but it isnt illegal. I wouldnt want some stranger taking phots of my kid (i had any) but it isnt against the law.

I don't know. I think ( like others on this thread have said) that the news has really worked people up and caused them to be paranoid of even a normal nonthreatening situation. Just try and take a picture at any theme park and not have a kid you don't know in the background! I think if you are that worried about your kid being photographed you should keep them indoors at all times

I was thinking the same thing. Ask any celebrity and they can tell you. You have no legal expectation of privacy in a public place, ala paparazzi madness.

There is a BIG HUGE! difference between taking pictures of your own kids with other kids in the background because well there there and there is nothing you can really do about it, and properly taking photos of a strangers kid(s)
You know how many kids end up in the back ground in most disney photos?
If every one made sure we didnt have other kids in the back ground it be all most imposible to take pictures in a lot of places.
