So as I'm starting to plan out our fastpasses, I was wondering on everyone's opinion on what time I should book our first fastpass the day we get to WDW. We land at 7:55AM and are staying at POR and will more than likely not do online check in. Thanks in advance!!!

Too many variables to reach a conclusion. You are landing at 7:55, but will you have checked bags that you need to retrieve? Is this an overnight flight from a different country where customs have to be cleared, or is this a domestic flight that departs really, really early in the morning. Are you renting a car, taking a taxi, using Magical Express? What day are you arriving? What park are you going to head to and which attractions at that park are a priority? How late do you think you will be staying at the park that day?, (looks like you might have an early wake-up that day). The answers to each of these questions would all factor in to what time you can realistically arrive at your first park and whether you should try to book FPs for the first hour of your arrival, or whether you might be better off using them later in the day after crowds have built up.

Sorry, I should have added that info. We land on 12/7 and we won't have to retrieve any bags as we are using the magical express. Our plan is to go to Epcot first (we also have a ADR at Coral Reef for 11:55) and then to the MVMCP that afternoon. We typically go straight to the parks when we arrive.

Under that scenario, I would try to get a Soarin' FP for 10:30-11:30. That window should be easy to make and it would put you close to Coral Reef for your ADR. If you arrive in time to use the FP at 10:30, you would have a bit of time to enjoy the Nemo ride and the Living Seas pavilion before lunch. If you arrive closer to the end of that FP window, you can do Soarin' and then head to lunch.

Thanks. I figured we would get to Epcot after checking in to POR around that time.

I'd go with after 12:00 to give yourself enough room for unplanned events, such as flight delays, and to make sure you don't feel a time crunch. It's no fun starting a vacation by anxiously checking your watch every few minutes as you're waiting for a park bus!
