At DL and CA, do you have to return to the ride during your fastpass window, or can you return later than the stated window? Thanks.

The posted policy is that you must come back during the one-hour. However, all of the Cast Members (ride operators) are instructed to accept FastPasses during the one-hour window or anytime thereafter on the same day. So, the answer to your question is you can return after the window.

During our trip in August, one day I got FastPasses for everyone in my group for Space Mountain at 8:05AM. The FP window was 8:55-9:55AM. We used them at 11:50PM that night. No problem.

If you are going to DLR during a busy time, it is worth boning up on FastPass. I wrote up a detailed thread about FastPass. See "Getting the Most Out of FastPass During High Season" http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=885132

Hi,
We are at DL at the moment (still can't quite belive it!!!) and even though crowds are pretty low in the morning, we are still getting a fast pass early and then we keep getting them as soon as the return window opens. Some CM are telling us that we don't need one, but we get them anyway.
We are always using them later in ther day and at night, and have not had a problem.

My family think I am a legend when we go back at 7pm and walk in through the fast pass line!!

Thanks must go to Darkbeer and HydroGuy who's detailed info helps we novices get the hang of the system!!

Sorry for the dumb question! But when you get a fast pass for a certain ride do you have to use that one first before getting another one for a different ride.... :confused3

^^ No, you don't have to actually use your FP before getting another. You just can't get another one until either you first FP start time has passed or it has been 2 hours since you got your last FP, whichever is earliest. The FP will have a time printed on it telling you when you can get your next one.

got2travel is correct. Specifically, your FP window will not open for at least 45 minutes from when you get the FP. And at most you have to wait two hours to get another FP. So when you get a FP, you can always get another one in 45-120 minutes (depending on your FP one hour window), and assuming FPs are still available (they eventually run out of them).
