Fastpass plan?!

Hi all! DH and I went to wdw last January. (1/25-2-1) When we were there they were just rolling out fastpass+. It was only the week before that everyone at every hotel was using the system, and not allowed to pull paper ones anymore. So anyway, we used the system and as new as it was, we loved it. That being said, it was a super low crowd time and we didn't even need fast passes. Almost everything was 20 min or less. So with that being said, what do you all do? Do you schedule them in the morning and pull extras during the day. Or do you head early to the parks, ride standby and schedule at night. Thanks ahead of time! Getting excited to see wdw in late October.
