Hi- I will be using my Give a Day, Get a Day ticket and exchanging it for a Fastpass Exchange Card. I am familiar with how this works- my question is this: we have a bit of a world-wind trip and only want to use the pass in the park we'll need it most. We'll be at MK and Epcot in time for rope drop, but are visiting DHS and AK in the afternoons, when the exchange card might be more handy (but there's no way to know for sure until we get there). If we decide we want to use the exchange card when we're already in the park (and find out if FP tix are still avail for our favorite rides), are there customer service windows INSIDE the parks we can use instead of going back to the park entrance?

Thank- you!

:welcome: to the DIS!

Technically, you are supposed to redeem the voucher at Will Call, which is located outside the parks as you know. Some people have been able to redeem at Guest Relations inside the park, but I remember at least one post of someone being told they had to go back outside. Your mileage may vary based on the CM that you get.

If you are planning to ride Toy Story Mania and won't get to DHS until afternoon, I suggest you use the voucher there. TSM FPs ran out at 11:15 on the day we were there - it was great to be able to go up to the machines and print eight FPs so we could ride twice after FPs were gone for the day. We had already ridden once earlier with the FP cards - we probably saved 5-6 hours of waiting just on TSM. We used park tickets to get FPs for ToT and RnR, but it is possible RnR might be out of FPs in the afternoon as well.

Some of the wait times apps include info about FPs being gone, so you could check before you enter. If you are a Touring Plans subscriber, their Lines app lists when FPs are gone for each ride.

Note that even though FPs for a particular attraction may have been distributed for the day and no longer available normally, the GAD cards will still be able to get you FP for it. One kiosk is supposed to remain open with a sign saying it is specially for GAD cards. In some cases they have covered all the kiosks, in which case you need to speak to the CM.

So there is really no reason to have to check to see if FPs are still available.

Except that if FPs are still available using park tickets, the OP might choose to save the GAD voucher for a park that might not have FPs available to the general public when he arrives. :goodvibes
