It's our first visit this summer with Fastpass+ and we plan on park hopping to 2 parks each on two days. We have limited time for the parks. After reading most suggest reserving your Fastpasses for the second park of the day because you can only reserve all three for one park. Can you reserve two FP for the second park online and get your third FP that morning in the first park?

I don't believe so. I think you have to do all three at once. They are usually offered in groupings. Even if you could, if you do that you completely eliminate any chance for a FP for your first park, as the three offered must be used before any others are given out. I find it better to just set up for the first park of the day. Find workable times for the morning, use them and then head for the second park and make an attempt to get more from that park. (one at a time)

No. all 3 have to be in the same park.

So we can get fast passes for a second park but just not in advance and only after the first 3 are used? Is it a better use to get them for the afternoon or evening park when crowds tend to be heavier?

1. Correct. You can get the from a kiosk in the second park.
2. That really just depends on what your specific plans are.

The three fast passes have to be in the same park. Then after that you can select additional fast passes within the park you're in.

If you're hopping..what we do is go to a park in the morning, leave around noon, eat and go back to hotel, then go to another park around 5pm or so with fast passes set up for the evening park.

You can do a lot by being at a park for rope drop. I wouldn't recommend any fast passes for at least one hour after opening, sometimes 2 hours. So it's a lot more effective to hit what you want in the morning with minimal wait, then already have your 3 passes set up later for the afternoon/evening park when wait times are a lot longer

And I do it just the opposite. That way I don't have to be there at the break of dawn because I already have my fastpasses. I go to the second park in the afternoon when the crowds are lighter (late afternoon or evening) and either get FP's or just go standby... depending on the wait times.

Glad you asked that @fickerdm! I was just wondering this myself as it will be our first time using FP+ with hoppers. Thanks everyone for the info!

And remember that any FPs beyond the first three are subject to availability. If you're going during a busy time, you might not get any additional FPs at all (or the available ones might be for attractions you're not that interested in). You're unlikely to get additional FPs for headliners.

During the summer months, what are approx wait times for 7 Dwarfs at rope drop?

If you're at the front of the pack, it will be a walk on. If you're at the back of the pack, 30 to 45 minutes, maybe.

Break of dawn: 6:18am

Park opening 9:00am

Well, since I don't get out of bed fully dressed and nourished. I still have to transport myself to the parks to be in the front of the line at rope drop... I stand by what I said. It may be someones idea of a fun vacation, not mine!
