Fastest way to HS

Hello everyone, we will be there mid March, it has been a while since we hv been to the fort what is your recommendation to get to Hollywood studios, what is the fastest way? Is it still just the bus from the front of the Fort straight to HS? We want to make rop drop!

An Uber or Lyft could be faster for not a lot of money.

Ok gotcha, we’ve never driven we’ve always used park transportation, so is there a special lane to go thru when u get there early to park?

If you really want to be first in the gate you can take an uber/lyft over to Swan/Dophin and then walk in from there. That will put you ahead of everyone arriving from the busses, cars, and Skyliner if you do it early enough.

There's no special lane, just pull into whichever line has the least amount of cars. They will hold the cars at the gates until close to opening and then start letting everyone through at the same time. People arriving on the Skyliner will generally get there a little bit earlier than anyone driving and people walking over from the close hotels will get there the earliest.

Ok what i was thinking on driving, i do remember one time we took a bus to the boardwalk very early from the fort i think, then walked to HS, that still possible? I kno for awhile they had cut down on the bus routes

I don't know if there is a bus directly to boardwalk, maybe someone else can chime in on that. Last time I was at HS I had ubered there from my hotel at Universal. My poor uber had to wait at the gate for 10 minutes so I tipped A LOT. There were people ahead of us from the Skyliner and walking path but not a ton. Getting dropped off at opening we were still in early enough to ride the MMRR, then slinky dog, then only a 20 min wait at Smugglers run before lines started building. But that was before G+ and back when they were letting everyone into the parks early to avoid crowding at the entrance.

I'm not sure exactly how it all works now with resort guests early entry. For my trip next month we are planning on driving over from the Fort directly to the park, but that is mainly because my DH has a mobility scooter we are bringing and we get handicap parking which is close to the front. And putting the scooter on the bus is a pain so we will probably drive to all parks other than MK.

Driving is probably fastest and easiest. Resort guest early entry was I think a separate line at HS. They scan your card or band and you go in early. In mk they let everyone in and then at say fantasy land there was a sign for early entry and they scaned you again there. Only 1 person in the party needed to be scanned. So I think everyone in your party has to be together. But i am not sure on that last part. Just know Mickeys railroad breaks down a lot as does rise. So that can throw you plan for a loop.
