What would be the fastest way to park hop from MK to DHS in the afternoon (after lunch) on a weekend? The folks in question are staying at the Poly.

Assuming their choices are:
  • Bus from MK to DHS direct
  • Bus from Poly to DHS
  • hail an Uber from MK to DHS

Anyone have recent experience with this? I haven't done park-hopping since pre-Covid and not sure if bus regularity has changed.

It is the easiest but is dependent on the bus timing, it may have just left and the next one may be up to a 20 minutes wait.

We have been known to take any Epcot resort bus that may be sitting there if the HS bus is not in or just pulling into the resort bus loop. When then walk, boat, or even take the Skyliner to HS.

Bus from Poly to DHS
Why would you go to the Poly to catch a bus to HS vs the GF or CR and that a bus to HS?

hail an Uber from MK to DHS
Can't be done unless you go to the TTC or one of the MK resorts so more of a dice roll for your Rideshare pickup.

The easiest and fastest option would be to take a Minnie Van

The easiest and cheapest option would be the bus from MK to HS. I guess if you *just* miss the bus at MK, you could walk to the Contemporary and hope their bus will be there sooner.

What about bus to Caribbean Beach and Skyliner to DHS?

Don't you then have to walk through Epcot to get from the Bus drop off to Skyliner/boat at IG? That 20 minutes you saved by not waiting on the HS bus just got wasted.

The fastest is going to be a bus from MK to DHS (or from Poly to DHS if you're going back to the room or going to that resort for lunch before heading to DHS). Minnie Van from MK could possibly be a few minutes faster depending on the timing of the bus, but you'll be paying a fee for the Minnie Van (or Vans depending on your party size).

While there are some other options (like a bus to an EP resort and then walking, boating, or using the Skyliner to get to get to DHS -- which I've done!) that will get you from MK to DHS, they will most likely take much longer than just waiting for the bus or hiring a Minnie Van (or any rideshare if leaving from the Poly).

And just as a side note, our personal experience on our trips in 2022 and 2024 has been that, in general, the bus service is better/more frequent than before 2020. YMMV.

Nope I said an Epcot resort bus not an Epcot bus, all the Epcot resorts are on the International Gateway side of Epcot. No need to enter Epcot.

Gotcha. I missed the word "Resort". Makes much more sense!

Monorail or boat to Poly and then to the bus stop is probably 20mins from MK, and then you may be in the same situation of just missing that bus and waiting 20 for another one?

Plus iirc Poly shares buses with GF except at peak times, so the bus that picks you up at Poly will then likely head over to GF before HS.

Don’t overthink it. Just take the bus from MK. We did that in September at around noon-ish, hopping into HS after rope dropping and doing some party day low crowd time at MK. Bus was pretty quick.

If you just miss the bus at MK, walking to the Contemporary to get theirs is going to involve going back through MK security again to get to the walking path (I know this from irritated experience). Pretty much any other alternative barring rideshare is going to cost as much time as you’d spend just waiting for the next bus. And even in the middle of the day the waits really aren't terrible.
