Agree with the Noodle Station shortcut, too, but what is UP with that Noodle Station place anyway? It has not been open every time we've been there in recent years. Too bad, because we would likely eat there!

Maybe I'm doing something wrong(or right) but I haven't been stopped by a second rope drop going to SM first thing in the morning. Maybe I am just slow enough to miss it

I only have only caught it a couple of times. I am not sure if they have it there everyday or not. It may have already dropped on the days that I get there and don't see it, not sure.

Haven't heard anything's changed, probably still works fine.

Because so many people at RD these days are headed for 7DMT or A&E, the line at Space hasn't been building up that fast. So, the advantage of racing or taking a short cut to SM is somewhere between minimal and nonexistent. You might get held up by a second rope or a delayed opening at the ride anyway. But, going the noodle station way is probably the best, if only because it gets you out from behind the controlled walk to 7DMT.

We went this way to Space Mountain at a rope drop on a trip last month and DH actually commented on my ability to choose paths with far fewer people on them while we were walking through Tomorrowland Terrace. Of course, it's the dis . It was fast, efficient, and most importantly, open.
