I thought I remembered a short cut through the noodle station to get to space mountain...is it still the fastest way to Tomorrow Land and will it be open at rope drop or is it easier to go the "regular way" from the park entrance?

I don't know if the distance is all that shorter, but if there are fewer people heading that way, it's bound to shave off a few seconds.

Going through the TLTNS will get you almost guarantee you a place more towards the front of the rope than going the conventional way.

My sister and I at opening whenever we go fast walk/run through the noodle station then we go to the right of the lunching pad and around to the entrance. Basically going through the noodle station gives you one of the fastest wait times for space mountain ever.

We hardly ever get to the parks early, so during crowded times we get on the train and get off at Toon Town and take that path to the left that leads to right to Tomorrowland.

Cutting through to get to SM is the only good thing the Noodle Station is good for nowadays.

We're leaving for Disney World tomorrow. I found this old thread from 2007 and want to know if the information is still true.

Is the best way to get to Space Mountain at rope drop through the noodle station? Is it still open? Does it open at rope drop?

I can't find it on the map. Can anyone give good "directions" on how to get to it (and then through it to Space Mountain)?

Thanks!!!!

You have to wonder about that place. With the increase in crowds you would think that this would be a feasible location to sell food. It would cut down on the madness of the other CS areas. Sometimes I just don't begin to understand what they are thinking.

It doesn't have to be open. It's just a pathway through so unless they are cleaning or something weird, it will be open. There are restrooms in the building as well.

You just head down main street and take a right when you get to the ice cream place on the right. That takes you by the restrooms, noodle station, then turn right and go by Stitch and Monsters Inc, veer left and Space Mountain is right there.

I agree that this its the best way, but one day this past week they had a second rope drop right after the bridge. So even though you get there faster they those going up through the hub, I had to wait for the other crowd to arrive before they let everyone go. Think of it as the option of right or left when going to tsm during the rope drop days. The cast members slow the shorter route down to make it all even.

I took this route this past May after I dropped off DW and kids at Rapunzel. 2 nice things about this route 1) It's shaded 2) The bathrooms

Here ya go.

We were headed to Splash, but our experience this month at MK "rope drop" is that they use secondary means (2nd rope, or a line of walking CMs) to prevent people from using "short cuts" to their advantage. We opted for the "boardwalk" in Frontier Land (we walked and didn't run) to avoid the large herd walking down the main "road". When we got to the end of the boardwalk we were greeted by a CM that asked us to wait until the herd had reached the junction... and then we were allowed to re-join the pack. At best, "short cuts" can only be used to go from the back of a large pack to up towards the front.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong(or right;)) but I haven't been stopped by a second rope drop going to SM first thing in the morning. Maybe I am just slow enough to miss it:confused3

We were there the weekend before last and it was open again! We were shocked because we always comment about it not being open when we go through.

Don't know if it's permanent or not though. Heading back down on Saturday.
