I am currently trying to plan our annual July trip but this year , for the first time, I am on a "time budget" with only 4 days in Disney. For the last 5 years we have spent 7 nights in the main building at the GF & never had a problem scheduling due to the convenience of the monorail, etc. This year, my older kids want time at Universal so we are there for the beginning portion of the trip.
I still want to hit all the parks & have been planning carefully. I have set aside 7/21 as water park day & this is also the only day I can fit in Animal Kingdom. I scheduled lunch at Yak & Yeti for 1:30. (We're on the Deluxe dining plan) I want to try & do the water park early, leave around 12:30 & make it to AK for lunch & our standard park tour.
I'm thinking of taking the bus to AK Lodge then another to AK. Is this the best way?
Any advice on what I can do to maximize our time there would be helpful.
We arrive 7/18 & depart early a.m. on 7/22. Its dh, me, dd9, ds15, ds2, ds1.
Thanks for any input!
