Hi,
Was thinking about calling for HDDR tix but I'm worried about how we are going to get to Fort Wildnerness from PO-R w/o a car. Is there a faster or more direct route from MK (I guess I would take a bus from PO-R to MK?) or would I have to take two long bus rides (I went to the show years ago with a car and had to take a long bus ride after parking in the lot).

Thanks for your help!

we took the bus to MK and then the boat to fort wilderness. this was a nice change. but then since we went when the parks closed early, we had to take the bus route back to our resort. but i would say the very fastest way would be by taxi.:p

How much time it takes and how much hassle it is depends partly on whether MK is still open when you are trying to get to and from FW. When we did HDDR a few years ago (staying at ASMo) we were able to take a bus to MK, then a boat to FW for the show. However, by the time the show got out, MK was closed (we were there is off season so hours were short) and we had to take abus back to the parking lot at FW, then another bus to DD, then another bus back to our resort. If MK is still open when the show ends, you could just take the boat back to MK, then get a bus back to your resort. I agree with disney queen, if the boat to MK is no longer running after the show, you may want to see about getting a taxi back to the resort.

We were hoping to get the 5:00 show on a Sunday in November. Does anyone have any idea if MK would be open by the time we left? I think HDDR is a 2-hour show.

I believe (and please check before taking my word as gospel) that POR and POFQ have an "internal" bus that runs directly to Fort Wilderness for the Hoop De Doo Revue.

I have also seen the Hoop-de-Doo bus at POR. I can't remember the specifics, but I definitely saw it. Try over on the transportation board.

THere was a sign at POR that said bus Internal bus to Fort Wilderness. I would call the resort and ask them.

In 1998 we took a internal bus just for the Hoop Dee Doo Revue from POR (Dixie Landings then) directly to Fort Wilderness for a 5:00 show. I would call POR and ask. You can also check at the information desk if the bus is available and the times of departure. The bus is also available for the return trip to POR.:) ;) :)
