what is the fastasmic dinner package?

you pay a couple extra bucks for your dinner at the select mgm restaurants

in turn you get a ticket for a reserved section for the fantasmic show

basically making it so you dont have to wait forever in lines to get into the show

hollywood and vine
brown derby
these are two fo the restaurant...cant remember the other (mama melrose?)

If you do this package is it FOR SURE you will get a seat? Do they make sure they have enough spaces reserved?

We will be there the week of July 4th, and I am thinking of booking this so that we can see the show (haven't seen it yet). I just want to make sure that we really will get a seat if we do this.

Also, are there certain times we will be dining for this package? Do they tell you your time or do you get to pick?

As I understand it, you are guaranteed *A* seat, however the reserved section is first come first seated. Everything I've read recommends arriving a half hour before the show, which is still much better than the hour and a half to two hours others will show up!

You do get to choose your PS time, but they are for the most part limited and early. (Usually around 4:30.)

We did the package on 7/3/03. We arrived about 1hr ahead of time and there were a lot of seats (bench seating). It did fill up very soon after.

Edit to say: there were a lot of seating in the RESERVED area when we arrived.

Thanks! Maybe I will just take my chances. We really want to see the show, but we will be back in September if for some reason we don't get in this time we can try again then.

The worst waits I have ever encountered in WDW have been for Fantasmic. We love this show, so I have booked the Hollywood n Vine Dinner Buffet for 6.20. Then we dont have to sit on those metal benches for 2 hours
