Fast pass ?

Do you all collect them and go back whatever time. A friend of mine does this and says they never look at the time. Or is she just crazy? I am thinking though that that seems like I could ride lots of rides that way! I always go back right at the time and then when that ride is over I wait to get the next fast pass. I am asking because I would like to make the most of my time and I know my DIS friends know this!

You are able to use a fastpass anytime after the return time. We do this ALL the time. At the very bottom of your fastpass, it will say "another fastpass will be available after ____" That is the time you may get a new fastpass. In the morning, it may be as little as 45 minutes until you can get a new fastpass. You do not have to use your current fastpass before you can obtain a new fastpass

Not quite. You cannot use it before the START time on the FP. They check that time pretty closely. It's the end time on the FP that they don't care about.

As for getting your NEXT FP, you are correct in waiting. The system will not issue your next FP until the allowed time (as noted on your currently held FP).

Ah, Dreams, I'm glad you caught that! I was assuming (I should know better!) that the friend was referring to using the FP past the end time noted on the FP. I wasn't construing that to mean the friend thought the FP could be used anytime including before the time window. Good catch if that's what she meant!

Yeah, I saw someone get rejected for being 2 minutes early. Start time is serious business.
