My parents are going with us in Nov. They are staying at Shades of Green which is a Disney resort for veterans but doesn't include some of the Disney perks like 60 day advance FP booking. We are staying at OKW. Anyone ever been in this situation? I want my parents to be able to ride the rides with us, but there is a chance they won't get the FP rides at the same Times we do : (

Did you add your parents to your MDE or link their MDE to yours as suggested in your other threads?

If you did, then when you book your FPs you can book for your parents at the same exact time. They will have the same exact FPs as you.

Anyone listed or linked to your MDE shares your 60-day booking window.

That's not true. Only people listed on the room reservation share your 60 day window. I have many friends who are local and it will not let me book their fastpasses more than 30 days out if they aren't staying in the room.

Thanks! I couldn't find my other post (I was on my phone and couldn't figure out how to look at my old stuff). I appreciate your help and will do that!

If you book for them with one person who is on the reservation, they will have the 60-day window. Then, you can go back in and Modify where necessary.

This has been confirmed on other threads, mainly the SDFP thread.

The OP will be booking for her complete group who are onsite and offsite.

Just tried it and it does work. Crazy because we had tried this exact tactic before and it never worked for previous trips. I can easily see this being abused if everyone catches wind that you only need to be friends with someone staying onsite to get the onsite 60 day window.

I have had to do this a few times.

You can add them to your MDE but only the guests actually listed on the OKW reservation and have park passes available can make 60 day FP+. If you try it will grey out the guest icons that are not eligible.

If you won't be exceeding room occupancy you could had them as guests to your reservation even though they won't be staying there - this will give you all the same booking window.

Otherwise what I have done is book fp+ for all our gests that are onsite at 60 days and then go back and copy them to the offsite guests at 30 days. Since we don't choose wildly popular things like 7DMT or Frozen I haven't had issues getting all our rides copied.

I believe Disney makes this available so that groups, such as the OP's, can schedule their park days together.

Disney knows that not everyone can afford an onsite stay but may be traveling with those who are staying onsite.

I'm glad it worked for you!

Wow - I stand corrected !

I have family that lives in the Orlando area and have always had to wait till 30 days to make their FP+ as I described above. I just went online and was able to make them for our October trip which is about 45 days away. This is great for families like ours who have a combination of onsite/offsite arrangements or family in the area.
