Fast Pass updates?

Last time we were at DL was Aug 2010 and used FP constantly. Now I've heard that Thunder Mountain is not connected to the main system, and that Haunted Mansion has Fast Pass for the holidays? Is this correct? Any other updates I should know about?

That's correct. No other changes.

As of our trip from Oct 14 - Oct 19 BTMRR was still disconnected from the rest of the fastpass system. Roger Rabbit is also disconnect. and Yes Haunted Mansion does have fast pass right now. It's actually my 3 year old DD's favorite ride and she can't wait to ride it again in December.

Thought I also read somewhere that the CA and DL FP systems are spearate...meaning I can grab a FP for space at DL and then go get on for Soarin' as well...is that still true?

I would also like to know if they are not linked then that would change some of my plans. I guess I made an assumption that they were.

Yes! Any FP you get in one park has no bearing on the FPs you get in another. :ave fun!

Where do you get the Haunted Mansion FP???

The FP machines for HMH are in a separate area to the FAR left of the main entrance (the gate you enter), in a little "alcove" close to the train stop. I definitely would ask a CM as I got very confused, especially when the regular line for HMH was LONG and far from the official gate entrance and looped around. Then you had that line, plus the FP return line clogging things up.

I didn't get a picture of the FP machine area, but they are tucked behind some shrubs with a somewhat narrow entrance area. Here's a photo I got of the main gate:

That is odd, I wonder if it was a fluke or they changed it back to being connected.


It often closes because of low demand for the attraction. Was the FP distribution for BTMRR indeed open? Did you get a FP that said, next FP available at xx:xx?

It was definitely disconnected from the 22nd to the 26th! Hopefully it was just closed because it was a short line or broken down, because that is an AWESOME benefit. So easy to go from BTMRR to Indy (or vice versa) and get 2 FPs in such a short time.

Oh, BTMRR being disconnected will be a dream come true for my son if it lasts. He's got two DL trips in December and it's his favortie ride.

Not necessarily 2 hours; whatever the "next FP available" time is on your FP. It could be a lot less than two hours if it's early in the day or it's not crowded.
