Fast Pass Question

My family and I are returning to DL after a much too long three-year drought.

For this visit, our tickets are printed on 8 1/2 by 11 paper for the first time. How does that work with Fast Pass?

Does the front gate give you a wallet sized ticket when you enter to put in the FP machines? Do you get a new one each day?

Thanks for your help!

They will give you a card ticket for the FP machines when you enter the front gates. I don't know if this functions only for FP or if it is also your entry ticket for subsequent days.

you will get a regular sized ticket yes, however where did your tickets come from? Some places you can exchange them at the turnstiles others you have to go to the actual ticket booth to exchange them

When you get to the gates, they will exchange the paper for whatever sort of ticket (cardstock) you purchased (i.e. 3 day Park Hopper). Your ticket can be used to obtain FPs.

I ordered them on the DL website and they were emailed to me to print. Thanks for your help!

Thanks - I wish they would just have mailed me the cards like they used to. I don't recall that being an option on the website though.

Ok then I am pretty sure you can go directly to the turnstile, I think when we ordered ours from GetAwayToday.com we had to go to the ticket booth first and I think we got them from Orbitz or something last year and we went to the ticket booth the night before our first day, I am not sure if we HAD to or not but we did to save time the next morning

You can usually opt to have them mailed, but it costs $ vs. printing for free. It is very easy. Since you bought them from Disney, you do not need to go to the ticket booth...just to the turnstiles.

Also for future you can request an e-ticket when purchasing tickets from the DL website instead of paper. You can then pull the barcode up on your smart phone and the CMs will scan that at the turnstiles. Then you will get a traditional ticket to use for FPs and subsequently at the turnstiles.

We are passholders so haven't purchased regular tickets in years, but my daughter's passes are deluxe this year and so I bought them regular tickets when we were there on 7/17 since it was a deluxe block out day. The online e-ticket purchase was very easy and convenient. I was impressed!
