Fast pass Question from a WDW vet

I've never seen a FP being scanned. It's always gone straight to the hand of a cast member. Maybe they got scanned later for bookkeeping purposes, but it didn't affect when a new FP could be pulled, which was what I was getting at. Using a FP doesn't make a difference as to when a new one can be gotten. The next one can be pulled at the start of the FP window or in 2 hours from when the last one was pulled, and that time will be right on the pass.

Saw it twice this week on Space, just saying.

Frankly haven't been on it since maybe 2003. That being said, my point was that someone said that when you could pull another one was when the last one got used, and it clearly doesn't matter when it gets used. The next time is listed on the pass and doesn't change whether it's used, given away, tossed, or just pocketed as a souvenir.

It was pretty big news that made its rounds on news sites and was discussed here on Disboards shortly after it happened. Was actually really hard to miss even if you haven't ridden it for thirteen years. I never was there while this testing happened, but I knew of it.

One article about it:

Anywho, I think the person before just chose words incorrectly and actually meant when the window opens. But agreed that it does not actually have to be used to be able to grab a new one even when this scanning is being tested.

The tickets need only have entered EITHER park for fastpasses to work in BOTH parks. Not sure why but it's been like that for years.
Wow.... cool- though I seriously doubt we have any in our group who would do that kind of 'run' lol it's a great option if we are desperate for time

It's not even that big a deal. The parks' entrances are just separated by an esplanade. No additional security checks needed.

Unless you were in Toontown I'd bet a runner could be there and back in 30 minutes.
