Fast Pass/Park Hopper Question

Hi there!
Hoping someone can answer my question for me. In order to use the Fast Pass system at WDW does one need to have a park hopper ticket? We are planning on a trip this summer I have a couple of comp passes that I would like to use but wasn't sure if I could still get a fast pass with this ticket.

According to Deb's site, you don't need a special ticket to use FP. Here is a link with a lot of information.

A park hopper pass is not necessary. Even single day tickets can use Fastpass. To use it yourself, your ticket must 1) have a magnetic strip on the back and 2) been used for that day's admission to the park.

If your ticket does not meet both of these criteria, you won't be able to get your own Fastpasses yourself. There is usually a CM near each of the Fastpass locations who can manually override the system and get your Fastpasses for you. But the instances of this situation are rare.
