Fast Pass + Limits Question

Hi everyone! I am trying to set up the FP+ for my family and am getting the error where someone has gotten too many passes. OK for the days where one or two of our party has supposedly gotten too many, I have been able to go back and copy it over so we're all signed up for the same passes. NOW it won't let me finish the last few days at all for anyone. Is there a limit on total passes we can get? When I called the other day, they said that the limit is 3 per day period.
 
You are limited to three per day (all in one park) and you are limited to the number of days on your park ticket. So, if you have a 7-day ticket you can only sign up for 7 days of FP+ selections.
 
Not sure of issue you are having. Each person/band gets up to three per day for everyday you are there (we had it for ten days). If you got more than three for one person/band for one day, something went wrong, and if you are not being allowed to get any for an actual day you will be there, then that is another error. Beyond the three per person per day limit, there is no total limit for the trip you have.

I got the same error last night for my son when I was setting up our selections. I was doing all of us at once and selecting the same rides at the same time so I KNEW it was an error. Dumb Disney IT system. I called and everything was fine. The tech said it's a known bug. For awhile right after I finished and went back to review all of our days it was showing the SAME day (Saturday's selections) on ALL of our days.:sad2: The system is pretty wonky. It took me about 90 min. and 2 phone calls to IT to customize our magic bands and make 3 days worth of FP selections (because I wanted to customize our FP times). (Oh and the whole thing froze up on me 2x and wouldn't do anything but sit there and spin.) It was all way to tedious for me.
 

I picked the FP selections for my days. Do I have to print them off to know what the times are or do they give me printed off list when I check in?

They do not print them for you, as far as I know.

I used the MDE app on my phone that showed my daily FP selections.
 
I've had the "too many fast passes" error for 1 or 2 people in our party at various times, but once I copy them in, things show up okay. I have not been able to get into MDE all day today. That leaves me to believe this is going to be a royal PITA when we are there at Christmas time. :scared:

Correct -- however, you can use that 7 days of tickets for any days up to 14 days from your checkin....whether or not you are staying in a Disney resort for the whole period.

A person on another board only stayed at a Disney value resort for one night, but was able to use FP+ for their entire week-long stay in an offsite hotel.
 
I have been getting error messages all day in MDE trying to book ADR & FP+. Yesterday morning, I was getting errors on the DVC site.

I have tried to drop 1 FP for each of the 2 days, and I redo fast passes and the same extra one shows up and I don't want that attraction at all!
I've had better luck with the site using my new iPhone4c instead of my 11/2 yr old iPad or my 1 yr old iMac. My hubby says the new iPhone has a much faster processor, but I still can't get rid of the 2 extra FP+. Sigh!

The same thing happened to me. I decided to change my 3 morning FPs at Epcot for afternoon at MK. It gave me the 3 MK FPs but also kept the later one of the Epcot FP's, so I have 4 FP+ on one day and at two parks. I don't know how to get rid of it without deleting them all. I guess I'll have to call. I'm afraid eventually someone will spot it and delete the ones I really do want. Isn't it fun to be Disney's testers? :p
 
I have 2 sets (2 parks) of FP+ for the same day. Changed from MK to DHS. They are both showing up in MDE. Called IT & they said it was a system issue & only the DHS was valid. The MK just wasn't dropping off the system.

concierge printed all our MDE selections, dining & FP+, for each day.
they were also able to change some FP+ for us (as MDE didn't work on our cels).

We have premium APs. 2, in fact for each of us since we bought the DVC special last year and the first set will expire while we're there. We have a 19 night trip, all in one DVC room. I am only able to book 16 days worth of FP+s. The last 3 days it says that we are all max'd out. I have also had the same web page errors that everyone else talks about LOL I haven't had a chance to call member services yet to ask about this.

seems they roll a handfull of dice to decide how many days to give you- lol.

Some get 7,8, or 14 days.

Myself we got jammed at 13.

Apparently once you use your first day you can add a day at the end and so on.
 
What if you only like 2 of the three selections in which they have to choose from? Such as when it asked "select 2 from this group & you only like one - then why do they place THEIR recommendation in ? I don't like that so I tried to change it twice which only messed it up there by giving me 6 FP+ in 2 different park for the SAME DAY.

I am really NOT a fan of the way they force you to first go with one of their suggested itineraries. The process of changing everything to the order & times you REALLLLLY want is very tedious. I'd rather just skip their suggestions and go straight to selecting the times I want. AND I'd like to be able to select something besides on the hour and only on the hour. It's very cumbersome and time consuming the way it is now. Oh, and S-L-O-W. I think the system has a long way to go before they call it a done deal.
