Inspired by another thread I thought it would be useful if people posted up their tips regarding how to get the best out of fast pass.

What rides do you aim for first?
What rides run out of FP's early? :goodvibes

I usually try to get FP for Peter Pan first

Probably, the first ride that run out of FPs is BTM

Even when it was quiet I would go for one for Peter Pan . It has a very slow moving queue.

Buzz seemed the most popular when we were there. (BTM was closed  though)

On arrival pick a FP up for Peter Pan, take a slow walk through to BTM and pick one up for that and walk through to Buzz and get one for that.

If you leave about 20 mins between each collection you will be just about right for going straight back to PP for you allocated time. Straight off and back to BTM for that one and so forth.

Can I just clear up something? I was always under the impression that if you have a bog standard ticket from a package, you could only use it as a FP three times in every day? and that if you have a VIP FP you could use it unlimited times per day.
Is this correct?

Any passport ticket or annual passport can be put into a FP machine to get a ticket.
For the quality hotels you are provided with an additional anytime FP, but I'm sure it is changed to only being available after 2pm. The VIP FP for castle club I'm sure is for unlimited use, so you don't hand it over to the CM for the duration of your stay :goodvibes

Also I thought that you could only hold on FP at a time?

Or is this just plain wrong?

You can hold one FastPass for each Fastpass Ride at the same time but you have to wait until the allocated time slot has lapsed before getting a second Fast Pass for the same ride - does that make sense ?

I always get Fastpasses for everyone in our group, then if one of us wants to ride say Space Mountain 4 times in a row they can. :)

Edited to say I've thought of a better way to put it: :teeth:
You can only hold one FP per ride per person during the allocated time slot.

So true!
SUnday was very busy and we got our BTM FPs at 11.30 and the returning time for 17.35-18.00 o'clock p.m. One hour later there weren't anymore FPs available.

If you get a FP for early enough, arrive just at the start of the time allocation and get (if any left) a FP for later in the day - we have managed to get three for one day for Star Tours easily over Halloween. Buzz and BTM seem to run out the earliest. RNR sometimes only has about a 10 minute wait, so no point in getting FPs - we once only got FPs so that we could watch the stunt show and come straight out onto it.

One thing that I noticed that was different from the american parks is that you can hold more that 1 fast past for different rides at any one time. EG SM and BTM.

In the us parks they have the 2 hour rule only 1 fast pass per 2 hours per park unless your window is "earlier".

Worth knowing if you have been to the US parks and not DLP

I didnt know that!! Thats a great tip. :thumbsup2

So let me just get that straight. We are a family of 4. So we could therefore all go and get a FP for Peter Pan, walk over to Buzz and get a FP each and go to BTM and all get FPs without having to wait for the time to run out on the first FPs?

Thats fantastic. We went in Jan/Feb 06 and thought it was the same system as WDW, so we only got one FP at a time.

Thanks so much for this info. :cool1: :thumbsup2

Might seem obvious, but how about listing all the FP attractions at DLRP, since they vary from WDW which varies from DL? :teeth:

Good idea :goodvibes

Disneyland Park
Adventureland
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril

Frontierland
Big Thunder Mountain

Discoveryland
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast
Space Mountain 2
Star Tours

Fantasyland
Peter Pan's Flight

OK, question for you all - was it just me, or has anyone received 'double fast passes'? This happend to me several times - on Buzz, BTM, and Peter Pan - I put in my AP and out came two for the same time! :goodvibes

BTW, I never did use all 5 of the FPs that came with my AP - the parks were that quiet, and during busier times I went through the walk through attractions, etc.

Definitely these tips worked!

wow this great news i also thought it would be the same as the usa parks and would have to wait hours the disney family will be chuffed when i tell them yay 5 months 10 days yay
