Fast pass advice?

I am going to Disney World next week and was wondering if some of you had any advice for using the fast pass. I know it might be pretty busy with spring break travelers so I would like to make the most out of the fast pass.

What ride do you think will get the most benefit from using a fast pass wisely? Are there any of the fast pass rides that you feel move slower than others or typically have a longer wait time?

At the Studios - Aerosmith Coaster fastpass is a must. That line can take forever. Also take advantage of the single rider line which moves very fast.

AK - River Rapids

MK - Space, Splash, Thunder

Epcot - Mission Space, Test Track, Soarin

Keep in mind you can use the fastpass anytime after the first time listed even though they give you an hour window to ride.

Also, check at the bottom of the ticket to see the next time you can activate another FP.

If your time you are able to get another FP comes up before you've actually used the FP, have someone else in your party go get FP at the next attraction you want to ride. We totally kept on top of our FP times and getting new FP and that worked GREAT!!

Yep! We just got back today from Orlando. Toy Story in Hollywood studios is a must for fast pass. I went a bit late so there were no more fast passes and the line was 50 minutes. I asked someone that worked there when it slows down. She said that throughout the day it it pretty much the same for the ride.

For the Epcot, Soarin is a must.

In Animal Kingdom, the Kilamanjaro Safari unless you go there once the park is opened. I didn't need a fast pass for that one cause the line was only 20 minutes. I was there 15 minutes after park opened

It seems like all the major rides have fastpass, and I'm not sure why so many people still do not use it....Oh well ....better for those of us that do. I think someone mentioned it earlier but it's so true...use single riders whenever you can. You still get to wait together (if you have to wait at all) and usually we are all on the same ride just not sitting beside each other..it's perfect and if another member of your party had to wait until the next ride when you get off just wait on the other side and it's only a matter of a minute or two.

Is there a single rider line for Space & Big Thunder I hope??? & If there is no single rider line then can I tell the attendant I'm a single rider & will they let me through the Fast Pass line?

I don'tknow about space, but NO singlerider line for Big Thunder. It's jsut not that much of a thrill ride. there are hardly any families or groups with only one person wanting to ride it .

so on big thunder, no. you cannot cut in front of everyone else just becuase you are alone.. or break your group up into sets of one.

this only makes sense on the thrill rides. arrowsmith, everest, etc. where you might end up having uneven groups anyway, and a single person will fill in that extra slot..

caution: I have seen groups go into the singel rider line on test track, and then ask to sit in the same car!! that is not allowed, and not the point of single rider line.

now space mountain, I do not know the answer to that, as I rarely go on it. I do walk hubby through the line, as he can't see in the dark.
hmm, I suppose if there WERE a single rider line, we would be using it, since he is riding by himself. guess there isn't one?

Test tract, Everest and Rockin Roller Coaster are the only ones with single rider lines. The one at Everest moves unbelievably fast. There is a disclaimer for Rockin Roller Coaster that you may end up waiting as long as the regular line, but we have never found that to be true. Sometimes they will ask if there is a single rider on Space Mountain to fill a rocket and if you raise your hand they will pull you forward. Same thing with Tower of Terror. Hope this helps.

Peter Pan and Splash Mountain are the ones we usually see with longer waits. We usually do Peter Pan first thing in the morning to avoid the need. Sometimes we will get one if the return time works with our midday break. Space Mountain is another worthy of a fast pass. Many of the other rides have shorter wait times but I wouldn't turn down a Buzz or BTMR fastpass if it fits the schedule.

Epcot - We usually ride Test Track when open, get a fastpass for Soarin' and eventually a fastpass for Test Track again. For a long time I was the only one doing Mission Space, but my daughter does it now so we may have to work that in some trips.

DHS - We ride TSM and then get fastpasses. The return time is aroud 11:00 AM when we will get a RnR Coaster fastpass. Usually, TOT standby is still very short at that time (13 minutes last trip) so no need for a pass.

DAK - Kilimanjoro safaris will need one later in the day. We try to do this early when waits are short. I would keep an eye out on return times for Kali River Rapids if you want to ride in the hotter part of the day. I have seen the line 70-90 minutes then.

Nope, it doesn't work that way. The only rides with single rider lines are (forgive me if I miss any!): Test Track, Rock n' Roller Coaster, and Expedition Everest. To my knowledge, these are the only three right now. You can't bypass the regular line (or skip ahead in the FP line) if you're by yourself.

OP, have you familiarized yourself with how FP works? I'm sure there must be a FP "sticky" somewhere on the DIS that will walk you through the best way to maximize FP. Also, the Unofficial Guide to WDW has a great section on FP. My advice is, as soon as you're eligible for a new FP, get one right away, even if it means criss-crossing the park a little. Totally worth it t, IMO, especially since they're strictly enforcing the FP return times now.
