Fast Food Joint of the Day: Burger King

I usually get a Whopper Junior and small onion rings with zesty sauce. We tend to eat there more often than McDonald’s. Someone upthread asked if flame broiled makes a difference. Yes, we think their burgers taste better.

I love Burger King. Much better than McDonald’s. I love the Whopper with no cheese, the original Chicken sandwich and the double cheeseburgers. I don’t get any of it very often but I love it when I do. I also think their fries are better than McDonald’s or Wendy’s.

I have never had a Whopper. I like the Original Chicken Sandwich and the onion rings. Pooch gets a plain BK burger when he comes out of the groomer’s. 🐶

I've never eaten at Burger King. I don't see many of them around where I live and travel.

Value menu Double Cheeseburger. A little bit of flame broiled heaven.

A Whopper could easily be my favorite fast food burger. Always order with extra mayo & no cheese. Also like their double cheeseburgers.

They used to have a 4 pack of mini cinnamon rolls my son loved when he was little. That was the only thing we ever got there!

The Ch King is my go to there. Better than Chick Fil A and I think is better than Popeye's. But I certainly can see that others would like the latter.

The Whopper is about the only burger I'd order without cheese. They can't cheese it in the broiler and well the cheese rarely melts... And it's expensive. As for the flame broiling, I like it over Mickey D's. But it's a gas broiler so it's not like a burger on the barbie.

I haven’t been to a BK in about 20 years. The one near me never reopened after covid closure; it was struggling long before then. It’s being remodeled into a Dunkin Donuts.

Back in the 80s they had salad in a pita pocket that I liked.

Once about 40 years ago their broiler was on the fritz when we went. I was willing to eat something else but most of the group wanted burgers so i think we went to Wendy’s instead.

It has been a long time since I have had Burger King.... I do remember getting some "chicken fries" for like $1. I liked them.

I have a BK walking distance from my house - very little cars there. We don’t eat it, but if I needed to I would get their chicken sandwich - I remember liking them.

Whopper with cheese and extra pickles! I used to eat the American chicken sandwiches - chicken sandwich with cheese, lettuce, and tomato.

I haven't been there in more than a decade. I remember I liked their chicken sandwich back in the day. It was fried and on a sub roll. They probably don't have that anymore.

Not a huge BK fan. Used to like the bacon double cheeseburger and the chicken tenders. But they stopped selling the chicken tenders and went to "crowns" and now to nuggets. The last time I went I got chicken nuggets and onion rings. They both tasted like they were fried in really old dirty oil.

Never eaten at Burger King... they make a big deal out of the fact that their burgers are flame grilled over here. Does it make a difference compared to McDonalds?
"Flame grilled" is a bit misleading, as it makes you think that people are cooking burgers in the traditional style. Burger King actually has a flame broiler, so they load the patties in a tray (or conveyer belt) and it's more or less cooked like a pizza.

Still, the Whopper (no mayo) is a tasty burger. Croissanwiches are disgusting.

Oh, and if you go to BK late at night your food is most likely gonna be microwaved up to temperature.

They closed the BK near us, so I haven't been to one in years. I did always love Whoppers. When I was doing Weight Watchers years ago, I ate their chicken nuggets a lot because they were low WW Points.
