What shoes do you wear to Disney? I am a bit of a fashionista, I teach in heels & don't own a good pair of tennis shoes. I am wondering if I can wear "comfortable heels" to disney. (I do also own two pairs of ballet flats.) Leaving this weekend.
Survey says?
TIA

:) You know your feet. I would worry about heels becasue of the uneven areas like the trolley tracks down MainStreet. I saw lots of girls there this past week in heels and jeans....and wondered how in the heck they walked in those shoes. I purchased a pair of wedge heel/ sandals that were Crocs and very cute with my painted toenails. But is was so cold I chose shoes most days. :flower3:

I have worn wedges every time I've been to Disney. I don't wear them every day. I mix them with cute flip flops also. I only wear my tennis shoes to run. I am even planning on wearing my heels on our last day this coming trip after running the half and full marathons. They are comfy. So, go for it. Only you know if you can handle it. :thumbsup2

Good thread. I wear 100% heels at home except for runs/walks.

At WDW, in the summer I will wear my running shoes probably half of the park days mixed with flip flops. This is easy if you're wearing cutoffs/shorts with the running shoes.

Now that it much chillier out and I wear a lot of jeggings/leggings in the chilly weather with boots, obviously I can't wear my running shoes at WDW unless I wear them with a bootcut jean.

I'm thinking maybe lulus and running shoes if I'm touring the parks and having my "normal" jeggings/boots in the car for a quick change if going to a resort for an ADR?

Fashionistas what do you wear to the parks when it's cold out?

I go in January most years and it's warm enough for shorts or capris when I go. I have done the trouser jean thing with flats during the day, and, then when we went to Citricos, I switched to heels. I have no problem being more dressed up than everyone else in the parks. If you are wearing leggings, do you have any flat boots that you could wear in the parks? That might be more comfortable.

I always do flip flops, but I get them made.. A woman puts bows on them.. I have them made to match my outfits.. They are really just cheap Old Navy flips, but they look so cute with everything..

I wear heels everyday to work (heeled boots in the winter), but there's no way I could do it in the parks. For me, ballet flats would be even more uncomfortable since I have VERY highly arched feet and super flat flats tend to kill me after a couple of hours. I always wear basic Reef's in the parks. (Either the Stargazer or basic) They have great arch support and they're basic, so they match everything. If you're going on Sunday, I'd go buy a pair of cheap sneakers. The price would be worth it not to be miserable walking/standing in lines.

invest in a good pair of shoes....last thing you want to have a problem with while you are there are sore feet.

Rockports.

Okay, some of you worried me about my heels so... I just ran out and bought a pair of Nike shox. (Hubby likes his; he's a runner.) I picked out a silver pair, to fool myself into thinking they are "stylish" I'll pair them with a few pairs of my "date night" jeans & ask the photo pass photographer to keep the photos above the ankle. ;) I think I will bring a few pair of semi-comfie cute heels to change into for an off-park adr.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think it will be too cold (this week) for open toe wedges/sandals though that could work in the warmer months.

Heels will probably throw your weight to the balls of your feet and they could really hurt after long days in the park. I would look for some flats and mix them up with some sort of athletic shoe. Personally, I never look at feet when I am in the parks!

I am not a fashionista but if you wear heels every day you might find flats, including tennis shoes to hurt in the parks. I am really used to a heel and need that angle for all day wear. I really don't like flats and wear heeled shoes at Disney.
My standard work shoes are heeled shoes but not really "heels" - I wear things like Dansko clogs and chunky heeled shoes like areosoles, softspots and dansko shoe (the non-clog ones too). I wear these to Disney in the winter - mostly the clogs. I sometimes wear ballet flats but could never last all day at Disney in them. In the summer I wear heeled or wedge sandals only at Disney (fit flop, softspots or dansko primarily)
I bought a good pair of running shoes and hope these work at disney but have never liked tennies shoes before plus think they look ugly with jeans. FLip flops don'y proovide me enough support or heel unless they are fit flops.

I'm one who wears mostly flip flops or ballet flats w/ the occasional pair of boots or high heel shoes (I HATE sneakers), but at Disney we walk SO MUCH (like miles a day) that I wear the sneakers so I can last all week. I actually had to go search for them in a box today so that I knew I had them if that tells you how much I wear them. Now, I am packing my boots to wear on our date night around EPCOT's World Showcase, but its our last night there and I'm not worried about having sore feet while riding in the car.

i take my sequined sketcher tone ups flip flops

nike air max

and my tall uggs in the winter

I can't wear heels in the parks!:scared1: I am planning on Shox, Reebok tones and some flip flops :rotfl:

Last time I went I was 15 and my mom insisted that I wear my sneakers the whole time so I did and while I was comfortable, I wasn't used to wearing them and felt out of place in my cute "fashionista" outfits with white sneakers.

I'm going in TWO WEEKS! and I plan on wearing cute sandals and flipflops. I never wear shoes in the summer and in the fall I wear flats and winter uggs, so we'll see how this works. All I know is I plan on being cute. :)

You are so cute!!
But don't you think you might be cold wearing sandals and flipflops in 2 weeks? Hope you are bringing your uggs just in case. :)

I will be down there in 4 days and I think I will end up going with my cute pink and white Nike shox

as well as my black pumas which are less bulky. I will be bringing trouser jeans I think as one poster above recommended.
Except for travel days where there is lots of sitting around I will have my boots and jeggings!
