Hi,

My DH and I leave in a little over a week for Aulani. We actually do plan to cook a fair bit in the room, especially for breakfast, and would love to be able to have fresh local fruit and maybe fish. Are there farmer's markets on Oahu that anyone has been to? Our guide book lists a few, but I'd like first hand experience if anyone has some.

Thank you!

Oh man... you're killin' me!!!

I can just taste the fresh Hawai'ian fruit now!!!

I'll be watching for replies, for future reference (and any market listed better not up and disappear before we get there!!)

I know! My husband and I are just ending a 21-day cleanse where we (in addition to taking icky vitamins and drinking worse than normal protein shakes) ate only fruits, veggies and lean protein. Now all I want is more fresh fruits and veggies!

I know there is someone on the boards who either lives in or near the area, so I'm hoping he'll see this and have the answers!

I have only been to the Sat KCC Farmers Market by Diamond's Head. I really enjoyed it. Fresh veggie and cooked food too. It can get pretty packed, so go early. And don't miss the Maui Lavender booth (for hand cream and stuff). I love love love their product. Esp in this weather.

I'm going back in April, but I will miss this Sat market. I'll be watching this thread and hope someone else will commend on other farmers markets.

A friend of mine was just there a few weeks ago and posted a pic of the one at the Waikiki Community Center which runs on Tuesday's and Friday's from 7-11:30. He said to enter from the Ohua St entrance. I have no idea how far this is from Aulani. It might be the one that someone mentioned above - the KCC one. He was not far from Diamond Head.
