Farewell to Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular

Well, I never said that I didn't like Wall-E. I liked the movie a lot. I just don't think that it warrants its own show at DL or DCA. If Disney wanted to do something with it, Tomorrowland would be the most logical place. I just don't see how a movie like Wall-E would fit into a stage production in a large theater like the one that's currently used for the Frozen Sing-Along. They could make Wall-E a ride somewhere, but Disney is pumping billions of dollars into Star Wars Land, so whatever ends up going in the Frozen Sing-Along theater will have to be something that lends itself well to be some sort of theatrical production, whether or not it includes singing / musical numbers.

I was there in November getting some treats at a store in DCA on Buena Vista street. The man checking out next to us had an employee card of some sort (for a discount) and the cast members started to chat with him about where he worked. Eventually he admitted he played Jafar. My first celebrity experience at Disneyland :-) He seemed like a nice guy. I turned around for a quick look but didn't say anything. I'm sure he wasn't looking for attention.

I liked the Aladdin musical. I'm not opposed to change, but Frozen seems a little overdone. I've never even seen it. Blasphemy, I know. I didn't care for the Olaf parts of WOC Winter Dreams. Mabye I would like it better if I had seen the movie. I have four sons. They saw it once without me and haven't asked to see it again.

Now Star Wars land... I think my boys will like that.

Was anyone here at the last show? Or any of the shows on the last day? Just wondered if they did anything special...

We were at DCA that day, but unfortunately the line ups for the show were way too long for my little kids.

I believe someone posted on DIS a video of the very last show previously. But I can't find it. However, here is a re-post of it... I have included it here....

How bout Star Wars, The Musical? :dancer::dancer::dancer: I'm sure Disney will pull that off eventually.

They tried that once. The Star Wars Holiday Special. Quite the spectacle :rotfl2:.

But I'll miss the Aladdin show very much...
