Far.well, VMK!

I felt the need to say a little something of my own to mark the occasion of VMK's closing.

I just wanted to say thank you to Disney and to the VMK staff for all the good times, and thank you to all the good Dis friends I've made through VMK. TrixieMaguee, Out and Coriander, Fly and Shell, Alyce and Marty, Jellyrolls, qruthie, queenliz, and so, so many more ... and of course my dear Aeryn - without the game I might never have met her!

Wow, this feels like a wrap party after the last performance of a show.

It's been fun keeping my "New items in the database" threads alive for the past two and a half years. I still have some work to do; I'll be spending the next couple of days in the database, preparing a few more posts to wrap things up, like a list of all the items in the game, and info about the secret database, and some details about the VMK Stories that never was. It'll feel a little bit eerie going through this stuff after the game is closed - kind of like walking through the ruins of River Country. And then I really need to go clean up the Wikipedia article...

I'll remember the laughs a whole lot longer than I'll remember the frustations. I'll see you all again in the Next Big Thing. Thank you all for making this one magical.

Farewell VMK from me as well. I was able to log in for the last 15 or 20 minutes and say good bye to some friends.

Without VMK I probably would not have met my sweet.tea ElectricLime or known Sea and Out, Alyce & Marty, PrincessLynda & Pengin, Tea and all the Zeta Island girls, Rolls, Fly, Q, the Capes, Cookie and so many others. For that I am grateful. I hope all that I have come to know as friends will continue to let me know when they come to WDW so well continue our meets.

ElectricLime has some *very very very* cool stuff yet to post I know you'll all be surprised at the potential VMK had and sad what what they chose not to release to us.

I am thankful too, to Disney and the VMK staff in all their incarnations, for a wonderful, wonderful three years made so much better by the generous and friendly kindnesses of Out and Sea, Am(Dmamie), Fly, Q, Alyce, Drum, Briar, the Cats (Az cat and Catherder), Voice, Friend, Peacefully, Mickey's Pop and CDM Mickey, Disaeryn, Baron, PrinceM, Penny, Rolls, Shell, Disvaclub, greenie, bat.on girl, and SO MANY MANY MANY more !!!!

You cute little avatars! Boy, will I miss you all in VMK. But I am also so thankful to these boards, made avaible to us for celebrating, sharing news, and (of course) complaining (LOL).

I look forward to meeting some of you in "real" at some point. In the interim, hope you will continue posting on here!
