FAQ: Flying Out of Buffalo OR Detroit

I have no issues with Pearson. I live 15 mins away in any traffic. Yes I agree if I lived in Hammer I'd try Buffalo or even London. Stay stress free makes for a better trip. I'm trying Porter out of YYZ for the first time in late Sept to early Oct. this year.

Let us know how it goes! I’ve only flown in/out to Chicago via Porter (to get SWA fares)

This doesn't work for flying from Toronto to Florida, but we just flew to NY for a cruise and booked a Porter flight out of Billy Bishop instead of Pearson. What a treat! We just walked right in. At the counter at check in, they asked if we wanted to take an earlier flight...one leaving in 40 minutes and we said sure if it works getting through security. Security was a breeze and on the plane in no time. No crowds and easy peasy.

My entire family flew out of Buffalo this past March Break. It was fantastic. I travelled with a group of 11 (including 1 child and 2 infants.) It wasn't busy at all and an overall great experience. I'd highly recommend staying overnight at one of the 'Park and Fly' hotels across the street. We were able to park our vehicles there for the duration of our trip. We paid approx. $500 US for 3 rooms/parking (for 3 vehicles)/shuttle.
