I've booked to go on July 6th as it's the soonest I could go AND see both of these!

Any ideas what time of the evening they will be at?

Also, I'm thinking of making dinner reservations before my trip. Is Blue lagoon good?

I really wanna go to La Grange! All you can eat tex mex? I am SO there!!

I think last July fantillusion was on at 11pm and the fireworks at midnight. It was spectacular! :lovestruc

Cool, that'll be amazing!! :-)

I see you stayed at Sequoia recently - how was it??

I have a lakeview montana room booked there for July.

But I don't know whether to upgrade to NPB lake view admiral room. Will I miss out on a partial view of the park (I know when I stayed at SL before I could see space mountain)

Sequoia Lodge is our favourite hotel. We stayed there on our first visit and then again last month. I have to say, I prefer SL to NPB, just the theme and everything in the hotel, a lot 'warmer' than NPB... Don't know, it's different for different people. Never stayed in Montana Lake View room, always Montana room and liked it a lot.

You'll probably miss on the park view if you stay in NPB and will definitely be a little bit more money.

Don't want to put you off, but if I were to choose, I'd pick SL!

Enjoy planning your trip! Wish I was going again...

i think the fantillusion might be at 10pm coz i remember running to BTM after it finished to get on it before the park closed at 11 and I think the fireworks were at 11.

Blue lagoon is a lovely restaurant its a nice setting and really good food i'm definitely going back there this year!

Wow! Look you go the day after me!!

I've been on the food guide website and had a look at the menu's. I think we'll be visiting Blue Lagoon and the California Grill.

And maybe the lucky nugget saloon in the day one day, although as a grown up couple I'd feel guilty stealing any character time from the kiddies there.

The menus on there aren't up to date... They are totally different now. I tried to take photos of the new menus, but none of them came out very well. Just thought I'd let you know! :goodvibes

Thank you.

I guess nothing will beat having a look when we arrive. Although we get there on a Sunday afternoon, so I'm sure it will be busy busy.

Thanks for all your help by the way! Your a DLRP fountain of knowledge!!

My bf had done very little travelling before we started going out 4 years ago. I've got him across 4 continents now, but still feel it's my responsibility to make this trip the best, as he's not too into the Disney magic, he's getting there after watching all the films with me though! He's even more excited about Wall-E than me!

Did you get the PM I sent you? :goodvibes

Just a thought, but why don't you look at the Hotel FAQ sticky, the Trip Report sticky and the Restaurant review sticky? Not all at once though because theres a lot of reading there!! It might give you a better idea of where you want to go, what you want to see, etc!

I can't wait for Wall-E either....!!! He's so coot!!

we're also going on the 6th July so another Dis'er the same time as you! Didn't realise the fireworks would be happening during our trip (i thought they started on the 14th July!) so you have made me very happy!! :dance3:

Any tips for the best place to watch them?

I'm a bit scared as the lady on the telephone at the disnye restaurant reservation line said there are no fireworks until mid july, as they are jsut for a french holiday.

But I can't ahve read all of the publicity wrong?!?!

My Eurostart tickets are non-exchangable!!! :(

The brochure states the Summer Season commences 5th July. Previous years it started on Bastille Day, 14th, with a big firework display then from the 15th onwards Wishes was shown every night.

Travel brochures haven't named Wishes this year, they're just saying fireworks, and, from what I've read elsewhere on the net, Wishes probably won't be shown this year but something else which is rumoured to be set to the music from Enchanted. Wishes didn't have many fireworks compared to Bastille Day, New Year displays etc, it was more of a laser show with just a few fireworks. If there is a new show that will probably be in the same vein so that may be what the CM meant.

If you have a look at the park hours here the park stays open late from 5th July onwards so hopefully it will start that night.

Is Blue lagoon good?

Although it's a lovely setting, the food at the blue lagoon is disappointingly average (at best!), and I've seen whole threads in the past dedicated solely to suspected blue lagoon related stomache bugs

The Lucky Nugget is also a very nice setting. You sometimes get a band on stage, and the all you can eat buffet is consistently good.

Fireworks/music from enchanted humm that sounds interesting- i look forward to seeing all your trip reports to find out more :goodvibes

Enchanted does sound interesting.. I love the film! :goodvibes

Am secretly hopeing its not wishes (even though its my favourite firework display!) as I always cry whenever I watch it, which is quite embarassing! :lovestruc ;)

I LOOOVE enchanted!! That would be amazing.

Although wishes does make me blub like a baby!

It sounds like its win/win either way for me!!
