Fantasy verandah stateroom

I just seen on DCL website the verandah has a lower rate than oceanview. If I book this what will happen will I be notified by email saying they increased the price if they made an mistake or would they just allow me to have the verandah stateroom at no extra fee. Oceanview is showing at £4,260 and verandah is showing £3,742 based on guaranteed stateroom with restrictions.

The Verandah may be a GTY category booking, can't tell from screenshot. Even if it is a pricing mistake, DCL has honored those in the past.

I once got a verandah for $1800 on the Fantasy due to a price glitch and DCL honored it. If it’s a restricted rate sometimes this can happen when the lower categories don’t get one, I had that with an ocean view vs inside on the Dream once.

That’s a guaranteed verandah stateroom with restrictions - it’s a legitimate price. Just looked that cruise up on DCL website.

The Guarantee Veranda stateroom costs less than a standard booking of an Oceanview stateroom because you can't select a specific room and therefore may get a room in a less-desirable location and may not know the room until very close to the sailing date. As long as that doesn't bother you, it's a great deal.

VGT rates are usually lower than other rates. Non refundable. No control over where your cabin will be. You will be assigned a cabin very close to sailing - a cabin that no one else booked for regular price.

That being said, we book VGT on the fantasy a lot. Most of the cabins we have been assigned have been great ones.

We are on that cruise! We booked VGT and are still waiting for a cabin assignment.

Update - VGT cabins were assigned today.
