Fantasy Preview Cruise March 23, 2012

Hi, I didn't see another thread for this cruise. I just found out I won a spot on this cruise! This will be my family's very 1st cruise!
I will be traveling with DH, DS (age 6), and my sister.
Any other DISers?

How and through who did you win a spot on the cruise? What fun.

I will be there with my sister and her Grandson who is 4. Very different then the way we normally travel together and the first time we have a had little one on a cruise with us. Thought we could handle the 3 nights but still not so sure about our pre-cruise stay at DW for 4 nights.

Only stop is CC on this one, can't say I will miss Nassau but a couple additional days would have been nice.

Hi all,
I am sorry for the slow response. I haven't checked back in a while.
I won my spot though a contest that was run though Comcast to promote Pirates of the Caribbean movie. I am very curious how other people got their spots on the cruise too!
This will be my family's first cruise. We are all very excited! Especially my son. Has anyone ever done a preview cruise before?
Other than exploring the boat, Castaway Cay is what we are most looking forward to.

Did a Dream preview last year too.

You will be sharing the ship with lots of Disney EarMarked Travel Agents who will be attending the annual conference. Are they putting you up in a resort prior to the cruise? On Saturday and Sunday the Agents will be in conference until noon so you will be sharing the ship pool and Castaway with only their families and probably press. Plenty of time and short lines to have fun on the water coaster and to have plenty of beachfront property on CC.

No, resort prior or after the cruise. They were able to find flights that worked with the cruise. We don't leave until 2 on the day we disembark and were thinking about renting a car to check out NASA.
Very jealous of your job. It must be (mostly) amazing to help people plan Disney vacations.
Disney hasn't told us anything about the itinerary. You had previously posted that there is no Nassau stop, only Castaway Cay. Does that mean Saturday will be an at sea day?

We were also on the March 23 preview cruise. My daughter (13 years old, spent time in Vibe) met friends on the ship that she wanted to keep in contact with. She didn't get their contact info so we are trying to find posts on the disboards where we may be able to find her friends.
