GOOD MORNING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, BOYS AND GIRLS! WE SET SAIL IN 49 WEEKS! THAT IS 343 DAYS!

Good morning fellow cruisers!!!!!! How's everyone's weekend going so far? I'm getting ready to bake some cookies and the DH is getting ready to make 10 pounds of chili. We are participating in a local High School's fund raiser for Lupus. They are having a Chili Cook Off. The contestants will be judged by the general public as well as three judges. They are also having a bake sale, so I'm baking for that. My BFF from high school is heading up the whole thing with her Key Club kids. Should be a fun time!!! Wish us luck...I'm hoping our chili wins!! But even if it doesn't, it's all for a good cause.

WOW!! Thanks for doing this for Lupus! My mother in law passed away from Lupus 35 years ago and my husband has recently been diagnosed with Lupus. We have been long supporters, but you do not see many fundraisers so thanks again!!

Working on Blue and Gold for Cub Scouts tomorrow is our lunch I am the Cub Master and we have over 60 Scouts with advancements and awards

there will be about 200 at the lunch....

You're welcome! I'm sorry to hear that you lost your mother in law to Lupus and that your husband has been diagnosed with it now. I don't know much about it, but I hope the medical field has made a lot of advancements over the last 35 years to treat Lupus.

This is a really big fund raiser every year at this high school.

Oh my....have fun with that! LOL Our friends are the Cub Masters (husband and wife) for their son's troop. They did the Blue and Gold a couple weeks ago. It looked like a lot of fun, each Scout made a cake and there were some really creative cakes there! (I saw pictures)

Good luck!! Chili sounds really good right now. We actually had a few days of sunshine, but today is overcast and dreary again. Boo!

I remember those days well! My boys are 17 and almost 15 now. One is working on getting his Eagle finished and the other is just plodding along and enjoying Scouting without much progress in rank. I hope you have a lot of parent volunteers to help!

They did the Blue and Gold a couple weeks ago. It looked like a lot of fun, each Scout made a cake and there were some really creative cakes there! (I saw pictures)

We did a cake auction the last year my boys were in Cubs. What a fun time that was!! We raised gobs of money too! I was impressed!

My cousin and her family are your friend's neighbors! They are in 10026... At least for now they are. We ended up GTY for a 5E room, and we might switch so we are closer to each other. But since who knows what our room will be, we haven't tried to switch hers yet. My cousin will be traveling with her DH, DD9, and DS7.

I love the enthusiasm Terrie! I feel the same way. My wife is laughing at me since I spend a lot of my free time at night searching the net for anything & everything about the cruise! And it is only been a week since we booked!!!

I saw that. The hotel is literally 10 minutes from my office. I am thinking about it, my husband works every Saturday so it would only be my daughter and I. I'm trying to figure out our schedules as we have friends that are coming up to our summer place either the last week of April or first/second week of May. I would love to meet you guys if it works out.

Planning and getting excited about is part of the fun for me

We will be flying up from Florida!

We will be going on this cruise with extended family. Myself and DS - age 13 in one room, DH, DS- age 18, DS - age 16 and FIL in another, MIL, niece - age 21, niece age - 19 in another and SIL, BIL, niece - age 8, niece - age 6 and nephew - age 2 in another.

Any tips and suggestions welcome. DH and I have only been on one other cruise before on another line.
