I am trying to decide what shows/attractions we will try to see, my boys have no interest in princesses so is Fantasy Faire something we shouldn't miss or should we skip it?

The Beauty and the Beast and Tangled plays are fun and short. My 10-yr-old son who allegedly hates princesses loved both plays. He is too cool to sit in front of the stage though.

He also likes the boysen-apple freeze (or whatever it's called) drink, looking at the Hunchback wind up music thing to spot Disney characters, and that's really all that's there except for the princess lines. The princesses do pay extra special attention to little princes though - DS tolerated taking photos with them [and his little sister] until about age 7.

Unless you run out of things to do, I wouldn't bother if no one in the group is particularly interested. Invest that time into something else that your boys will enjoy :thumbsup2

As the PP said, Fantasy Faire is really composed of two things: the performance and the meet and greets. If you children are not interested in the princesses, then I would probably forgo the meet and greets. The show (more like a skit) can be fun, so that might be something to consider. Personally, with all the other fun things to do and see at DLR, I would probably forgo Fantasy Faire if your kids aren't into the princesses, unless they like watching shows and are a fan of either Tangled or Beauty and the Beast.

Also, as the PP mentioned, even if they aren't into the princesses, there are some yummy snacks at Maurice's Treats. There is the frozen apple juice (I'm not a huge fan, but I'm not a big fan of apple juice to start with). I do like the baked twists (strawberry was my favorite) that they sell.

My 17 yo son loves the two shows at Fantasy Faire. If they are familiar with the stories, I would at least see one. Of the two we prefer Tangled. They aren't too girly at all.

Thanks, they do like shows especially musical ones, are these ones musical or more of a play?

if you look on you tube you might find them on there I heard they are funny comedy skits

My son isn't into princesses normally but he was that day ;) The ones we saw were extra sweet to him and he came out of there with stars in his eyes. He also really enjoyed the Tangled show (there is some brief singing by the minstrels). We didn't watch the Beauty and the Beast show so I can't speak for that one.

They are musical retellings of the stories. They are done in a humorous way. They are actually very well done.
