so we are leaning toward our first cruise with the kids it has been 17 years since DH and I honeymooned on the Magic ! Looking at a 5 night on the Fanstasy and we were given the Family deluxe verandah with King bed and I believe bunks and a Murphy bed. Kids ages will be 13,14 and 16 at the time of cruising. Looks like it would work but just wondering if i should look into two rooms instead.
Just looking for some reviews on these rooms

You may have your cruise and ship mixed up as the Fantasy only does 7 night sailings.

As far as the room goes, we recently cruised in one of those for our family of 4, (2 adults and 2 teens), after 3 other cruises in connecting insides. The verandah room was fine but we all decided we'd rather cruise in 2 connecting insides instead of 1 verandah.

If you do book in 2 rooms, be sure to tell the booking agent you want "connecting" rooms not "adjoining." Only the connecting rooms have the interior door between the two, adjoining cabins are just next door to each other.

As you might imagine -- absolutely no privacy in the one room -- just a curtain between the king bed area and the bunk/murphy bed area. Our kids are 13,11 and 8, and still feel ok in one room. At your kids' ages, I'm not so sure.

It might just be easier/cheaper to get 2 inside rooms. Ultimately, you go to your room to sleep and change clothes.... the verandah is nice but it isn't really needed.

I did get the Ships mixed up lol we are going back and forth between a 5 or 7 night. I will have to price it out with 2 connecting rooms. Thanks for the input !
