My mother is a travel agent with Cruise Planners, they are here in NYC for the Travel Show
, and last night my parents went on the NEW Disney Cruise Ship: The Fantasy!!!!!!
All I have to say is: AMAZING!
Neil Patrick Harris was the MC, Mariah Carey was poised as the Fairy Godmother of the ship, and Jerry Seinfeld did a skit/performance. There were many MANY other celebrities.
My parents were entertained, they got to see the Disney shows (performances while on the cruise) which included numbers with all the Disney characters, Aladdin, Mary Poppins (and more!), they ate in the restaurants there- a sampling of the food- and of course, they toured the ship and saw the staterooms.
For those who know cruise ships, most people dread the inside staterooms, but THESE have a 'porthole' window above the beads, that are actually a TV screen- and the projection is a live view of what's outside. And, as an added touch, once in a while you see a Disney cartoon character pop up. So as you are looking out onto the ocean, Nemo jumps out of the water to visit you in your room! HOW COOL??!!!!v
There is also a water tube type of thing (I didn't understand it until my mom showed me pictures) that goes around the ship. Water flows through it and the pressure shoots you around. SO AWESOME.
As giveaways, they got 4 champagne flutes with the Disney Fantasy logo and date, menus, scarfs (in a nice shoebox), and Tatinger (sp?) Champagne. - All with Disney logos/dates.

Tonight I am going to upload my mom's pictures. She took a whole bunch. I can't wait to show you all the ship.
Apologies if I posted this in the wrong spot. I have never been on a Disney Cruise- (YET!!) so I don't really know where the reviews go.
Also, I'll get you all the information if you want to know more about the ship, have more questions, or want to book something. I guess you could do it through Disney as well? You can always pm me for that sort of stuff
Check back late tonight for the pics.
