I'm not sure cruise share requests are allowed on DISboards.

And, really, you want to confine yourself in a small room with someone you just met over the internet?

I saw someone do a similar request over on the Adventures by Disney board and I do not know of any rule saying it can't be done... People also do shares on cabanas and all sorts of meet ups... I would definitely urge caution with whomever you plan to travel with though. Consider several phone/zoom interviews before meeting in person and do keep yourself safe! :flower3:

OK, guess it's on another forum I visit where such requests are not allowed. Thanks.

I agree completely.

I want to spend the next 4 months getting to know folks who are interested through emails, messages, phone conversations, and maybe a quick a couple days in the parks (hopefully they will be open before then) to make a decision. But it starts with finding out if anyone is even interested in the same cruise as I am. What kind of cabin they are lookin for etc..

I'm 71. Moved this last year. No friends or relatives in the area, and with the virus still going around, I'm self isolating so it's not easy to make friends. The ideal is to find a few Disney fans in my area (NC) who realize you don't have to have kids to enjoy Disney. I have yet to meet someone who doesn't think it's weird to watch a Disney movie with out kids. The cruise has a lot to offer an adult. 🙂

I would suggest that you post on either the Community Board or the main cruise board to make contact with someone, then. Here on the Cruise Meets board are people who have already booked a cruise, and probably not looking for a roommate.

my husband and i will be on fantasy dec 12-19. if you decide to sail alone or even if you find a roomate, we would like to meet for dinner or lunch on ship. and i do not think its weird to go see a disney movie without kids!!. it keeps us in the mindset of a kinder and gentler time in our lives.

How about lunch - Palo buffet on an at sea day? As for the movies you are right, I can still remember the first time I saw Cinderella. I wanted and old dress so I could make it beautiful like Cinderella's pink gown. But in tough time like now the movies remind me of life lessons. "Meet the Robinsons" Let it go - let it roll right off your back and let it go. "Inside out" Our happiest moments are also connected to sad ones , and sometimes we need to feel sorrow to get past it. And The list goes on. Plus with the virus, protest, Killer Wasp? it's good to get away from it all for an hour or so.
