Hi,

Has anybody purchased preferred viewing for a fantasmic show? We hope to see the 10:15pm show on Sunday April 17th and know from the park hours that it will be crowded.

My kids have only been to Disney once, and it was the week AFTER spring break in 2007 ... there was NOBODY there and we are trying to manage their expectations for a more crowded park, while still seeing as much as possible.

Thanks in advance,
Hazel's family.

(PS Hazel is a dog!)

The Dobies did this for the first time in August, 2010 and loved it. We enjoyed the seats, the treats, the hot chocolate, the close viewing, and just being able to relax and see the show in comfort.

We just did this on teh 11th...we LOVED not having to hang around in the crowds that started at 6, well before the show started, having chairs to sit on rather than the cold ground, getting plenty of cocoa and dessert trays...the view was pretty good too...however...our 6yo princess fell asleep before the show started and woke up about half-way through, at which point she was very upset at having missed the first half of the show and begged me to stay for the 2nd show...so...I asked for refills on our cocoa, told the rest of our group we would see them back at the hotel and we grabbed a cold peice of ground to sit on front and center (luckily, I had packed a blanket and we were bundled up for the cold)...seriously, once the first show was over the place emptied out to the point that it was a breeze getting a great view! Our view from the ground was better than the view we had from the dessert box, but it was much colder and much more uncomfortable sitting on the hard ground than it had been sitting in the chairs...

HTH!

You know - I always see people say that this isn't worth it. We went a few years ago when they were still doing it on the porch where the Dream Suite is now. It is still one of our best memories from the trip. I remember thinking that we were just so blessed to be together and healthly and on that porch drinking mint juleps!

I think the value has to do with how often you can be there. If I were at WDW (20 min from my house) I would think it was a total rip off! But 2,000+ miles from home in a place I only get to visit every few years? It was a privilage and MAGIC! :wizard:

Just another POV as you make choices for your upcoming trip. Either way - have so much fun!!! :goodvibes
