Fantastic pool? Other than Storm along bay.

So which resorts have a fantastic pool?

I think we all already know that Storm along Bay is wonderful and it is my dream vacation to be able to stay YC or BC. But I started to wonder what resorts have a great pool....

can someone elaborate why CSR's pool has such a great reputation? I've never been and was just curious. Is it the slide or surroundings? Does CSR have more than one pool?

I too also suggest csr's pool. It's spread out it has an awesome slide the surrounding mayan temple with the days opening ceremonies is really cool too also it's never ever crowded and could always get a lounge chair also it has the arcade and the dig sight with playground for the kids also had an awesome indoor outdoor bar.

And yes to answer your question coronado has I think 3 quiet pools as well 1 by the cassitas 1 by the cabanas and 1 by the ranchos.

Also secondly SSR has 2 very nice feature pools. 1 at the springs n the other at the paddock.

CSR. It is very well themed, and has a nice sized pool slide.

Our favorite is the volcano pool at the Poly, which we like better than SAB at YC/BC.

I'll jump on the CSR pool bandwagon. Others have listed some of its features, but I'll add that it has a very large hot tub in kind of a secluded area between the resort pathway and the pool. Even though it's quiet, it still offers great views of pretty much the entire pool area, the snack bar and the play area. This allows adults to relax a little bit, while being able to keep an eye out for their kids the whole time. Not all pools have that convenient of a sightline. It offers a lot of peace of mind.

The snack bar is easy to get in and out of and is right there at the pool. It's very handy.

I don't know if they still do it, but my kids got to participate in the opening of the Mayan temple waterfall thing one day (where they turned the water on). It was a lot of fun.

There are some things I don't like about CSR (mainly having to do with how spread out the resort is compared to others), but they really got that feature pool right.

We liked the Volcano Pool at the Polynesian and the GF pools (both the beach themed pool and the huge quiet pool).

I've heard good things about the new pool at CBR and the new AOA pool looks amazing for a value resort!

I know many of the ill informed wimpy clown hating scardey cats out there will disagree, but my boys loved the clown pool at the Boadwalk.

Pools I like: POR - great slide, great pool bar, great atmosphere; CSR great slide, atmosphere; CBR - theme, atmosphere; also SSR, both AKL, WL, & Poly are really nice. ASMo is cute & love the landscaping.

We love the pool at CSR! I love the whole theme, it's huge, you can refill your mugs right at the pool, has a fun slide, and they always have great music. Also the hot tub is huge. I liked the pool at the Poly but it was pretty small for all the people that were there.

We did NOT like the main pool at POR and the quiet pools were nothing to write home about either. While they were all sufficient and we had no issues, we felt the main pool was small an pretty shaded and hard to find a seat. Quiet pools were also very small.

You'll get all different perspectives here! I liked the main pool at POR, because it had nice shade esp in August! And enjoyed the quiet pools when we didn't feel like going to main pool. Also liked the pool at CBR, WL, Poly & AKL.

Really I think all the main pools at the mods and deluxe are nicely themed. Just a matter of what theming you enjoy.
