Hi, y'all helped me plan my first trip, which was with my dad in an ECV + my ds with autism in January, and that went so well, we're planning another trip! But this time it will be my autistic ds plus a different friend in an ECV. Thing is, when we hit DHS my dad got sick and had to leave, so I didn't find out how the ECV thing works. We had the VIP dining package, and since it was my ds and I we sat right down in the front of the middle, VIP section, which was AMAZING. Wow.
So this friend I'm taking can walk a little, but not much. She can't do stairs without railing and Fantasmic has ropes on the steps. Is the view *enjoyable* from the back, wheelchair/ECV section? Is there a separate ramp where she could drive down on the ECV and all of us be in the front or wherever we want to be? If she decided to park her ECV and do the steps (which again, I'm really not sure is viable), where would she end up leaving the ECV?
I guess what I'm trying to figure out is whether the VIP dining is worth it. I signed us up for the Minnie Seasonal Dine, which looks fun. My ds won't interact with characters, so we'd be doing it mainly for a nice air-conditioned hour sitting down and the VIP seating. I guess we could go to Brown Derby. That's what I did before, and it was good. I just thought the Minnie's Seasonal dine looked tasty.
My ds can't wait in crowds and lines very well, which is why I did VIP the first time. That was perfect for us and a way he functions. But if we pay for all that and then the view is not good from the back, I'm gonna feel terrible I steered our party that way, kwim? It will be 5 people this time, instead of just three. I might have 3 go down lower and just me stay with my friend. But is the view from the back disappointing, or is it fine? Like I said, our view before, from the front, was so magical and immersive and astonishing. I don't want her to be disappointed.
