After seeing another thread about the handicapped seating at the top of the stadium I have a question. Most every one was taking about that area being saved for those in a wheelchair or scooter. What if stairs were the problem?

Would that count for that area and if so is it a good area to see things from or would it be better to maybe go down the stairs real slow for a possible spot.

There are also some invisible issues to contend with like crowds.

Thanks for reading

You might consider getting a GAC -Guest Assistance Card - at Guest Services when you enter the first park. Tell them you cannot do stairs. If you do not get a GAC, at Fantasmic let a Cast Member know you cannot do stairs. Ask if you could please sit toward the top of the seating area. It should not be a problem. Viewing from the top is fine :)! Enjoy!

There is more information about Guest Assistance Cards in post six of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. It is located near the top of this board or you can use the link in my signature.

The very back row is reserved for guests with scooters in wheelchairs because there are spaces for them with just small benches next to the wheelchair parking spot for a companion to sit.
The two rows in front of the back row are reserved for guests traveling with those in wheelchairs and scooters but also for people who can't do stairs or have other disabilities that makes sitting at the back important.

DH has knee problems and cannot do stairs, we also have DS who uses a wheelchair. DH sits on a bench at the top next to the wheelchair and I sit in the row in front. Either of these spots might work for you. There is plenty of seating on the top row alongside the wheelchair spaces.

The stairs in the Fantasmic stadium are very long, not like normal stairs at all. You can easily take 2-3 steps on them, which may make it easier for you to go up and down them. I have a bad knee and I'm very careful on stairs, but I haven't had a problem at Fantasmic because of how long they are. Hope this helps!

The HC seating at the top of Fantasmic isn't great seating. You can see more from the middle section. I have found that often HC seating is often behind something or really far from stage. Of course, some people say there is no "bad" seat at WDW, but to me, some are better than others( and they're usually NOT HC!)
