If you had to choose, which one would you see? I should add my DDs are 4 and (will be) 22 months so which is better for kids as well?

DD and I saw Fantasmic last year so that's already weighing my decision. The opening night of BOTH shows is our final day/night at the DLR.

The ELP..

Fantasmic has a lot of dark scenes and the ELP has the princesses and Snow white, Cinderella, dumbo, petes dragon, Mickey and stuff.. Great music.

My kids love it.. Also you don't have to wait as long..

I would go with the Electric Parade. I have many fond memories of seeing it when I was younger. Fantasmic scared me when I was seven, so it might scare your little ones (but you know them best, they might not be fraidy-cats like I was). The Electric Parade was my favorite part of Disneyland when I was little, and even though I love Fantasmic now, I didn't really like it when I was younger. But I'm sure you'll get many people on either side.

Have a good trip!

I too would also go with the EP, DD5 and DD6 have also both seen Fantasmic and loved it but EP was not running when we went in Sept. but this time going end of June and will be running all week:cool1: they can't wait to see the parade:yay:

Wow! Thanks for all the quick responses! I think its unanimous then, Electric Parade! Yay!

I would choose Fantasmic! over nearly everything at the entire resort... for all ages.

It's Disney!

Fantasic! is the ultimate Disney Good vs Evil show... the FX are awesome, the music is wonderful, the Villains are mean... and the set, the props, the setting, the Hero, the Princesses and all other Characters are all magical and wonderful...
...and the DEP music drives me absolutely insane. :scared1:

But since you have already seen F!, you should check out the Electrical Parade.

:)

For kids that age, EP. It's not as crowded, you needn't stake out a spot to sit for two hours beforehand, and it runs a little earlier than F! (if tired kids is a consideration). Plus it's less sensory overload than Fantasmic.

While I love both, I think for your children's ages I would choose EP. Like others have mentioned, it's upbeat, bright and doesn't have the scare factor that might bother some children. I agree that you only need to stake out a spot about 30 minutes before parade time. Our favorite spot is across from the Golden Dreams theater.

Coming in late with another vote for the Electrical Parade!! My kids LOVE it and so do I. Easier to get a good spot also!!
