Fantasmic Question ?

A friend of ours told us that their is a restaurant at MGM that you can have your meal and then get VIP seating for Fantasmic. Unfortunately they forgot the name of the restaurant. Anybody out there know? Thanks in advance.

Hollywood Brown Derby, Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano, and Hollywood & Vine -- for an early bird dinner between 3:30-5:30pm

We did the fantasmic dinner package option and for a busy season I would really recommend it. The seats are off to one side so not the greatest vew. If you are lucky enough to go during a slower time I would eat where I want ad just arive early.

Great Show! One of our favorite stops at WDW. Seen it several times. Still fabulous.

I have done both, I thought the viewing was Ok from the Dinning Package Area and during busy times it beats going 45 mintues early. If you don't go that early your veiw is worse than the VIP seating for sure.

What type of cuisine does the Brown Derby serve? Kids Menu?
I know I could google it but I'd rather hear from someone who has eaten there.

I've never eaten there... hopefully we'll get first hand feedback... but here's a spot for the Disney-park and resort menus....

I've taken kids to both Hollywood and Vine, and Mamma Melrose - H&V is the way to go. Didn't want to use extra ts for Brown Derby for a meal that wouldn't be enjoyed (2 small kids = 'n' trips to bathroom, knocked over drinks, and adults eating a cold meal; no matter how well-behaved my precious angels are).

I'd highly recommend the Fantasmic! dinner pkg, though - the seats give you a great view (I don't think it's possible to have a bad seat in there) and you can sit right up front if you want (on right hand side, but still). It certainly beats lining up with crowds to go early - even 1/2 hour before show (which I think is last time they recommend you go with pkg) is a long wait with toddlers. The wave can entertain you for only so long...
