Do you get some sort of pass for the VIP seating after your meal?

You receive a voucher to get into a reserved seating area. It allows you to arrive 30-45 minutes before the show vs. 60-90 minutes without the package. I wouldn't consider it a VIP seat, as it's all the way to the far right hand side of the stage. It's not bad, but it's not the best seating area in the theatre. We've done Fantasmic! once with the package and twice without it. I think it depends on the time of year and if you're willing to give up that much park time to sit & wait for a show to begin. This year, we'll be doing Fantastmic the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend, which will probably be pretty crowded, so we are doing the FDP this year.

It's guaranteed seating up to 30 minutes before the show, not better seating. It is to the far right.
