Okay - so did anybody else here watch, besides me? If so, please comment on my thoughts, and tell me yours!! I SOOOOO enjoyed it - not only because it's one of my fave Disney shows ever, and fave night time show (of any kind) ever, but also because - well - it has Sorcerer Mickey, of course! I was sitting here, watching, bawling my eyes out, but with the BIGGEST smile on my face - just like when I see it in person, or listen to the soundtrack!

I have to say that some of the parts were way too dark for me to see clearly (especially since the camera was so far back, and I TOTALLY hated all the peeps leaving early in the end that ruined those shots, and my immersion in the show!), but I TOTALLY loved the close ups when they did them! Especially of one of my fave parts of the show - the big boat at the end, with the tons of characters (and a lot of "more obscure" or "less seen" ones - blows me away every time!). I also LOVED the "behind the scenes" blurb they did at the beginning, with the little factoids - awesome!

As I was watching, I have to admit being a tad cynical for a minute, and wonder what you all think - even though they announced they will be doing another live stream from DL on 2/24 (a parade, sorry -did not catch name, and they did not announce any other info, so if you're interested, make sure you head to Disney Parks Blog and sign up to get notified of events!!), but still - I wondered if they didn't choose to do Fantasmic (never head of them doing this before, - if I'm wrong please correct me) NOW to drive visitors into HS, since it's under such construction right now? I have to admit - for a long time, it was pretty much my ONLY reason for going there, and DEFINITELY now!!!! What do you think?

Yes, I watched it. Disney did a good job with the live stream. Yes, the people leaving while the steam boat was going by was annoying.

I watched the live stream of the New Year's Eve 2016 fireworks at Magic Kingdom and that was also enjoyable. The perimeter fireworks are awesome. Before the fireworks began people online voted for what the next live stream would be and the most votes went to Fantasmic.

I watched it also and I thought the people leaving before the end was annoying also.

I did love that they showed the new Made with Magic ear hats. I have the original ones and they are heavy and hard to wear because they are bulky where the batteries are located. I will have to check them out when I go for the day on the 22nd. They say that they are less bulky to wear and heavy.

I love that they are doing these live streams of different things. I watched the NYE fireworks also and enjoyed both of them. I don't know if I will be able to watch the Soundsational parade as that is the day I leave FL.

If I got an e-mail from the site about the NYE fireworks, I either forgot, or didn't pay attention, thanx for letting me know about that. And since last night's live stream was due to a viewer vote, I guess my cynicism about it being to drive business to HS is my bad. LOL. Like I said, I very much enjoyed it anyway. I have a light up Sorcerer Mickey hat (think they used to sell them outside Fantasmic, matter of fact, but I got mine online) which is also heavy to wear in the battery section, so the new lighter/less bulky ears is a great idea, I haven't been since they came out.

I go to Disneyland more often than WDW so I've been ruined for MGM's version of Fantasmic, but it was still really fun to watch from my apartment in Indiana :]
I agree that it was awesome to see the close ups of the characters, but sometimes I felt like they stayed in a close up for too long. For example, my favorite part is at the end when Sorcerer Mickey disappears from up high and Normal!Mickey appears down below - they stayed focused on Sorcerer Mickey for so long that you could see him drop into the structure and they didn't go to a wider shot so that you could see how quickly Mickey appeared below and it looked like he could have been there for a while.
But like others were saying the people leaving early was annoying (especially when they tried to go to the wide shot and there was a guy just standing smack in the middle of the shot - I can't remember when exactly that was in the show) so they might not have been able to get a good angle for that last bit of trickery.

I definitely enjoyed the behind the scenes tidbits that they talked about beforehand, and that Sorcerer Mickey image that people voted on is now my computer's desktop background :D

Also, Heidi - the next one is going to be Soundsational, the daytime parade at Disneyland.
I'm excited for that one - I was just at Disneyland for the Star Wars half marathon weekend and I didn't catch that parade so I can't wait to see it again!

I missed this one but we did catch the NYE fireworks and enjoyed how they mixed the shots rather than from just one camera angle and sounds like they did similar here

We caught the Soundsational parade at DLR in October and very much enjoyed it so that will be neat to see! Would be nice to see them do Paint the Night, though I suppose that would be pretty late on the East Coast

Yep, I have the Sorcerer Mickey as my new background too, love it! :)

Than for letting me know the name of the daytime parade they're going to live stream next, and enjoy when you watch! :)

I wrote down the time and then promptly forgot to watch it. :sad2: I have never caught the show live at HS because I am an early morning person and find by 7pm, especially after days at WDW, I am just about done in and ready to leave the park. I will have to catch the next one . . . maybe tape a sticky note onto my shirt :P so I can remember to park myself and tune in.

I set up a reminder in the calendar portion of my phone, as I do with all my events. Everybody always compliments me for remembering their birthdays, and I honestly tell them "I don't know NOTHIN', it's all my phone and/or computer!" Give credit where credit is due. :) Sorry you missed it.

Wish I had seen the beginning, "Behind The Scenes" part...missed the first 5 minutes of the broadcast. Couldn't they rebroadcast it for anyone that missed it??? And I would get to see the beginning !!!

Sorry you missed the beginning, but at least you got to see the show (and Sorcerer Mickey!) :)
