Is there a seating areas for Fantasmic for people in wheelchairs?

My brother has some issues walking around due to a recent medical condition and he will probably need some assistance with a chair. He really wants to see Fantasmic but I am worried that he is going to have to stand for long periods of time.

When my mother was in a wheelchair in November 2006, there was a section up front and off to the right that was for people in wheelchairs. The only issue was that they only let one member of our party sit with her, so we were separated as a group. She felt like she had an excellent view though. She has had a knee replacement and no longer has trouble walking, so I don't know if this is current information. HTH :goodvibes

We used the wheelchair area for our son in August. It was a pretty good view.

Fantasmic isn't playing while the Rivers are drained. I'm not sure when they are due to refill and start running the show again.

The opening date as of right now for Fantasmic is May 28th I believe it is. If it stay at this date I will be able to see it. My trip to Disneyland starts on May 29th :cool1:

Thanks for the heads up!!! ;) Did your party get to sit with your son Fronkfam?

At the Fantasmic! viewing area there is an area right by the waterfront that is often referred to as the "sitting area," as everyone there is required to sit once the show starts. This is VERY much enforced. At the back row of the sitting area they allow guests in wheelchairs and strollers.

So, if your brother were to be in a wheelchair during Fantasmic! he could take a back row spot in the seating area and everyone with him would sit on the ground right next to and in front of him. He would be able to see fine because everyone else is sitting on the ground (no chairs allowed). This area fills up early (because it's the only designated sitting area). Claim a back row spot for your group and you're set. :goodvibes For that matter, if walking is notthe issue, just standing, your group can sit down here without the wheelchair as well - if you get there early enough to get a spot.

Second choice: If you are facing the riverfront, there is an area to the far right for people with wheelchairs and ECVs. Generally, they allow 5 people WITH the person with the wheelchair or ECV. There is no sitting in this area so the rest of the party will stand.

Hope this helps,

:wizard: You're welcome.

Just keep in mind if you choose to go for the "sitting area" option, it fills up early and anyone can sit in the back row - not JUST people with various wheels.

So... get there early if it's important to claim a back row spot. :goodvibes
