Okay it has been a while since I have been to the Disneyland when it is high season and Fantasmic is running. I see that when we will be there Fatasmic starts at 9:00 and then the fireworks follow it at 9:25. Is there enough time to move from the Fantasmic seating area to main street in order to have a decent view of the fireworks? As I recall, once Fantasmic ends it is chaos for at least 15 minutes until they lead everyone out. Would we be able to hear the music for the fireworks if we stayed in New Orleans square after Fantasmic? There is a 10:30 showing of Fantasmic, but we don't think the little ones in our group will make it that late.

Any advice would be appreciated!

No, it would not be enough time to get to the castle. Fantasmic! is 22 minutes long and the fireworks will begin shortly after the show ends.

Luckily the Rivers of America is an official viewing area for the fireworks and they pump the music into that location. Other spots where the music plays is the small world mall and Tommorrowland (for viewing from the second level of Innoventions).

So after the show stay where you are and look up.

agreed! We have always done the fireworks one night and then fantasmic the next. We have done both in one night when we did the late Fantasmic showing.

I would love to just stay at Fantasmic, but we HAVE to sit in front of the castle for the fireworks says my dd. haha

That's great news! How wonderful it would be to sit on a chair while watching the fireworks! :cloud9: I am definately booking the special seating area - this has sealed the deal for me! :thumbsup2

Have a great time. Remember is the single greatest show Disney has ever produced. Reflections of Earth may be a close second according to some WDW fans, but I think Remember has more heart.

If only Julie Andrews didn't have to announce that she is in fact Julie Andrews (who cares, this is Disneyland, not Hollywood, you're supposed to be Mary Poppins), the show would be absolutely positively perfect in every way.

What about the other way? Is it possible to see the Fireworks in front of the castle and then catch a good spot for the 10:30 Fantasmic!?

Yep, I have done it successfully a few times. It's important to watch the Fireworks from a spot in the hub closest to Carnation Gardens area and then have your exit strategy in place for directly after. We walk by the Carnation Gardens stage and through the tunnel of Rancho de Zocalo to Frontierland. Then you will find that the CM's will hold you back while the ROA clears out from the first show. Once they let you through, it's pretty easy to get in and find a good spot for the second showing of F!

OK, there is a way to watch Fantasmic! without sitting on the ground for hours or paying extra for reserved seating. In front of the Pirates of the Caribbean entrance is a tower of speakers and lights that stays lowered close to the ground for most of the day. Fantasmic! cast members climb on to this tower to operate lights, etc., and approximately 10 minutes before a F! show it raises up in the air. This leaves a direct mostly unblocked view to the F! activities. Nobody stands in the area behind this speaker tower since there is no view. If you get there about 20 minutes before showtime you will find plenty of space to stand for what will be a nice open view to watch Fantasmic!, and you won’t have waited a long time. The pole that holds the speakers does still block your view some, so if you stand a bit to the side the view will be a bit better. And be ready to hold your ground, when the speakers start to go in the air you will be instantly surrounded by plenty of (sometimes pushy) people. This really does work.

As for watching the fireworks they start almost immediately after Fantasmic!, there will probably be no way to get to the hub area for a better view. The fireworks show sound is piped into the area, so just stay where you are and you can see the high-in-the-air portion of the fireworks show quite well.
